[history]
I hate to break it to you, but the world doesn't flip over this country, my friends. The latest proof is an exhaustive 20-nation survey of some 16,000 people put out by the Pew Research Center that confirms what I've long suspected: We aren't liked.

the sad thing is, alot of people would see this as a conservative point of view...if this isn't just basic common sense, I don't know what is.

"...the United States, to mild hatred in Indonesia and Turkey -- where 15 percent felt the same way -- to general distrust in Germany and France.Big surprise.

He's near the top of my wish list for presidential press secretary, although I know the pay cut and the bio-hazard of looking at Helen Thomas' gorgon features every morning makes it highly unlikely he'd accept the job.

I would rather be hated for being strong than being Clinton lite. 20 Nations=exhaustive survey=16,000= 800 people in each nation doesn't sound very exhaustive to me.
They sure liked us better when they knew Clinton had no guts and was no threat....they were laughing at us then.

The poll results do not conform with the action down at the American consulates where millions of folks apply for the right to stay here permanently.

I started watching Cavuto just to hear his closing thoughts, then I gradually got to where I watch his whole program. The guy is totally refreshing and presents business in a way that interests the average person (with above average intelligence of course ;o) )
I love it that his comments are posted here.

Who cares if they like us or not, just as long as they fear us.

Considering we're hated by these countries, I found it interesting to watch GW in the Middle East. Looked like a fair amount of respect for the US and our willingness to be a major factor in helping them solve their problems.
Mark up a lot of the so-called hatred to envy.

Then why are so many of them still trying to immigrate here or gain entry illegally?
I say we *impose* an immigration questionnaire. They have problems with us: REJECTED! NEXT!
