Kilmeade takes a swipe at Clinton.
Posted on 06/04/2003 10:53:19 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55
This morning Brian Kilmeade took a shot at Bill Clinton while talking about Sammy Sosa.
Brian:
"Geez, we had Sammy Sosa doing this in 1998, then Mark Maguire with the steroids, and also Clinton. Was anything in 1998 real at all?"
Then the other day he took a pot shot at CNN.
He was talking to Michele Malkin, and she said that some critics tell her to go back to her own country. Brian responded..
"Well, those people are from CNN, and they are just jealous because you are here on Foxnews."

I also should add that I don't buy the notion that he did it for batting practice. You practice with the bat you use in a game. Had the league known he had an illegal bat in the dugout, it would have banned the bat, because the temptation is too great to use it in a key situation. I don't think he took the chance of an illegal bat just to hit homers in batting practice. Maybe he had it made special for the Home Run Derby, and then decided to keep using it.

Need more public figures taking potshots at Clintoon. Then maybe the twit would finally keep his mouth shut.

He probably only alters one or two at a time.... So even if the others are not corked, it's not a sign of innocence. Excellent point.
The prevalence of broken bats these days can be attributed to the prevalence of bats with super slim handles. If a pitched ball doesn't make contact with the fat of the bat, the skinny handles can't handle the stress and the bat breaks (usually in two distinct parts). I'd imagine the players favor this design because they think it gives them more power, but I think that reasoning is bogus. The bats used by players of old - Babe Ruth's being the most conspicuous example - had very thick handles, and his power obviously wasn't adversely affected. In more modern times, the power of 185 lb. Hank Aaron didn't seem to be adversely affected by his era's bat designs.
In an era of juiced baseballs, very advanced workout regimens, and super "supplements," Sosa is a complete loser for using a corked bat. So his well-struck home runs would travel only 470 feet instead of 510 ....big freakin' deal.

Oh, come on now. Shep is just fine. Brian and he are two different people on two different shows. They are both excellent. They are FNC people ... so, they are both good. :)
To: G.Mason
I'll go further and say Sosa's finished. If people are willing to forgive Pete Rose, then Sosa ought to have nothing to worry about. [Says something abut morality in present day America, doesn't it?]

Ms. Malkin's "country of origin" is the United States of America. I believe she was born in Philadelphia. Brian Kilmeade and Michelle Malkin are two GREAT Americans. They are both young and give me great hope for America. I wish them continued success!

Yep, born in Philly, raised in Jersey. It suprises me not at all that many leftists assume she was born elsewhere, and have asked her to return there.

Why even Sean Hannity said he will give Sosa the benefit of the doubt....whatever that means.....What's the doubt? Either he used a cork-filled bat or he didn't. Even a Gore supporter ought to be able to understand that. {These ChiCub supporters are bablling about, "Say it ain't so, Sammy". The same statement that was used about the Chicago Black Sox 85 years ago, and in the same city.]

Brian Kilmeade is a gem....

Evidently Sean is playing the politically correct card.
He kissed Geraldo's a$$ this afternoon too. Makes me want to puke.

I have to agree.
Besides the fact that as a professional, with years of experience, that kind of "error" just doesn't happen.

Now now, temper those thoughts :). They're bookends, Brian to start the day and Shep to finish it. They both are humorous yet they know of whay they speak. While you may not be a fan of Shep's can you honestly say that he's no less prepared for his spots? I can't bring myself to imagine a Fox without either of them. They both fill a niche that's ignored everywhere else.
