Me, I never understood laws about prostitution. I mean, why is it illegal for a woman to sell something that she can legally give away for free?

I guess people want diseased prostitutes on neighborhood streetcorners, rather than health department certified ones in zoned brothels.

After all, that's all that making prostitution illegal gets them, so that's what I assume they want.
