i would suggest Cybill Shephard.
Sharon beaver-shot Stone might cast apersions on Hillary's image, no?
Either way, they're going to get an attractive blond to play a vile, robotic eyesore like Hillary. What a joke?
It will get her a ton of votes though. They should also release that movie of Lifetime and the Oxygen channels and the election is over, J/K.

What I heard was that her minor monetary violation did not warrant a huge sentence, huge fine, jail time and humiliation. If that's what he thinks, that's fine. But to say in so many words "She lied - so what?" - I cannot abide that at all. If people are willing to lie about money... next thing you know, they'll be lying about sex! (half-grin)
I think he can make one point without brushing away the fact that she lied. Whether or not she's being presented as an example (and no, I don't hear any mention of her being a big-bux Democrat donor, so I'm sure people assume that she's a Republican), obstruction of justice cannot and should not be brushed aside like that. If we're to stand for truth, we have to stand for it every time. Obstruction of

He seemed kind of mellow last week. Polite at times. Is he okay?Seems the booze is starting to get to Savage. Have noticed him missing quite a number of shows over the past few weeks. Then he tells us about his drinking escapades.
Michael needs to be careful!

ANd Boot you dont think that the BIg Boys (intelligence) watch the markets? Sure they do dont kid yourself, Intelligence spy on markets and this is a set up , no doubt.

Mikes a casual drinker and a big eater thats all...
He needs a break man, The guy works 6 days a week and countless hours, I would need a break also. When he's done the show He says he's in a sweat , soaked. Savage needs to break sometimes otherwise he'll go nuts
To: technomage
You have a point. Something like that catches up to a lot of people.

Beast is right One rule for the President another for the resident I heard him mention that briefly before I had to get out of the car. And no, I don't believe any of them should have gotten off scot-free. So, yes, same rules for both. But because the Enron guys got off doesn't mean it's OK that Martha did. Anyway, she's an old stock broker - she knew better...

The Enron case is just taking a long time to get everything together before they can proceed. I live in Texas and was in Houston when the collapse took place. Enron had entities in many states and many countries. It's not like all the info for the case is in one place and they can start a trial within at a moments notice. Ken Lay will do time.

I agree its not ok but if your gonna nail JIm Bakker the preacher , with a lenghty sentence nail the enron boys also, But I smell a rat I do. WHy?

ANd Boot you dont think that the BIg Boys (intelligence) watch the markets? Sure they do dont kid yourself, Intelligence spy on markets and this is a set up , no doubt. I'm not sure what your point is, but I don't doubt that everyone with any financial or power interest in this country ignores the markets. But I believe that's a separate issue. Martha Stewart made a stupid mistake, and if she lied about it, and it can be proven, crying "scapegoat" by her supporters doesn't make it right.

WHat is worse in the eyes of the law, can anyone tell me? Tax evation? Inside trading or Theft? I dont know . ANyone have an idea why this is all out of whack in terms of judgements?

"it's not about right or wrong, it's about proportionality."
I liked caller Gerard's take on it calling martha a victim of praetorian politics? I don't know what that means, but when Gerard said that it's not about what you did, but who doesn't like you and how powerful they are, that rang all too true.

bingo, eternity! very competent insight!

I don't like her, either. In Fairfield Co., Conn., where I grew up, she is about as popular as Leona Helmsley. She has used people crassly for decades - gives success a bad name.

Just to shift diffrent gears, where is the Federal Reserve board located?

Yabbut... isn't the law the law? What is its purpose if it is ignored and minimized? How is it effective is relative judgment is used?
Something I don't know - what are the indicated sentences for a guilty verdict for these charges?
