Yes, the end of self rule in Black Africa , and a return to colonies. The problem is that neither the US nor Europe would be ruthless enough to be workable colonialists these days. The Chinese would be ruthless enough, but they wouldn't bother -- they would just exterminate the Africans and ship in their own people

I always read your articles.
I will bump this for later exploring and wouldn't mind being put on your Africa list.
To: scoopscandal
Thank you. I actually don't have an Africa ping list- try Clive, JanL, and perhaps cyborg.

The Spectator ^ | 17 April 2004 | Andrew Kenny
Well, in both Rhodesia and South Africa, a miracle occurred. White rule ended, a free election took place, black rule began and the whites accepted it with barely a murmur of dissent. The difficult problem was overcome. But the golden times did not follow. This has been a bitter pill for liberals like me to swallow. The hopes in the dying days of apartheid that soon at last we would judge a man on his worth and not his race have been dashed completely.

This list is really getting depressing.I know. Some of us on the right predicted many of these things when Rhodesia and the old Union of South Africa transmogrified, and we were roundly hooted down. Where are those people now? Oddly silent.

'Bring out your dead' bump. Thanks- if things accelerate on schedule, the living may well envy the dead.

Doesn't the tape worm attach itself to the host intestine then leave the host in a worse state than ever? Such is the highbrow liberal, white and black arm in arm. I wrote a scathing letter to Essence about their honoring Winnie Mandela and told the editoress-in-chief that she needed to do her damned homework! The great President Ronald Reagan lamented the lack of support for Rhodesia. People can say what they want about Ian Smith but he was right about his observations of other colonial nations abandoning colonies in Africa. Oh well spilled milk as they say.
