President Bush and First Lady Laura spend Saturday morning in Poland, where they toured Wawel castle in Krakow, where the President also gave a speech. A visibly moved First Couple also toured the Birkenau/Auschwitz Concentration Camp. Both the President and First Lady were overcome with emotions several times as they toured the camp. Later in the day, they headed to St. Petersburg, Russia, to meet with Russian President Vladiir Putin and celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Russian city. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: The sites are a sobering reminder of the power of evil and the need for people to resist evil.

What a sobering experience it must have been to visit the death camps. I would imagine it will reinforce the Presidents resolve to fight against the evil we face in this world

God Bless & Protect Laura & President Bush on this whirlwind European tour

I remember studying some of this in school (before it was really sanitized in college and not discussed...) and even the stories made me weep.

What I'm thankful for is that my paternal g-grandfather left Germany in the early 1920's before it got too bad. He was a German Jew, and family stories say that he was thankful also for leaving before the atrocities began.

The look of pain on their faces just about tells it all. I can't even imagine the horror of being in that place, even after all these years.

Oh wow, they both look like the just saw a ghost.

I heard on the news that they both had tears when they left the death camp

< sarcasm on >

But, But, the liberal media say that the Holocaust never happened, and that the Jews deserved it.

< /sarcasm >

Someone remind me the next time some DUmmby says that so I can rip them a new one.
