Well, unlike everyone else, I'm not willing to try cases in the media - I'll wait for the evidence showing Scot guilty of murder - until then, he's just an unfaithful liar, which is bad, but doesn't make him automatically guilty of murder...
That being said, The Rochas broke ito a home and removed stuff that did not belong to them. So, on one side we have liars, and on another side we have thieves... That much is fact - the rest can wait until trial...

Not really, I think her family realized the stuff she had or was given her by her side of the family which were memories for them would have been sold to strangers cheap for defense change.
That would leave their daughter's possessions in the hands of strangers and not her own families that would treasure them.
I really don't blame them at all.
I have also read his side of the family had access all the time there. So there was some cruel games being played here against Laci's family.

That's a question we would all like answered. however, I imagine SP will say her fingers were swollen and she didn't wear them, but I want to know if Amy Rocha saw her wearing them on the 23rd.

Laci's girlfriends, in the Dec. 11th timeframe, stated Laci was complaining of shortness of breath and ankles swelling. I would suspect, she had stopped wearing her rings because of fluid retention.

I'm still not totally convinced of his guilt. It's unfortunate that case like this get tried in the media long before they reach a courtroom. Quitre frankly, I'm beginnig to dislike Laci's family as much as I dislike Scott's - it's tragic under the circumstances, that what we are seeing is the worst coming out in everyone involved... not just one side... I think the Modesto Police have seized everything that could be used as evidence, so I don't think The Rochas took anything that could be used to help either side. The Rochas are human, if they went ballistic over the leaked autopsy findings then I can't blame them. It is in their best interests as well for this case not to be undermined by crooked attorneys and the media.
I don't know about all the baby furniture, but the Rochas have a right to request and receive family heirlooms and jewelry. Jackie Peterson and the defense team could have been gracious about the request, but I don't think that would have occured to them : (

"That's a 'no-way,'" Peterson said about giving the box to the Rochas.
It is not known where the box is today.
so telling of Jackie....although I could go to other names....lol.. ;o)

Is it true that in a court of law if a person has been proven to have given untruthful testimony you can discount their entire testimony as a juror? Well, I go by that rule in the court of public opinion too. The Petersons are a big fat bunch of liars and the Rochas are not.I agree with you. (I think you mean witness and not juror though).

You raise good points - I still think the Rochas could have handled it differently in this instance to - they had the moral high ground up to now, but lost it as far as I'm concerned. Maybe if I hadn't had someone break into my car this week and take stuff that didn't belong to them, I'd have more sympathy for them, but I can't abide liars (the Peterson's) and I certainly can't abide thieves (The Rochas)...

I agree the Rochas are not liars. They are thieves, though, which is just as bad...

Thanks for the response, Lanza!
I'll try to keep my ears tuned to the subject from now on. I find it a compelling question.

...the rings being spoken of as though Laci was not wearing them when she disappeared? Did she not wear them ALL THE TIME? Or is it that were they still on her fingers when her body was recovered? That is the million dollar question isn't it? My thinking is that she had no hands when body was recovered, so just how did Scaughty come by these? This is another reason that Geragos and the Peterson's are just STUPID with trying to sway public opionion, because it always has come back to bite them in the butt.
To: Chad Fairbanks
No, I don't think so. Seems Jackie and clan are into games of possessions. If the Rocha's waited, what would be left, and would they really be able to get it back, even if the courts ruled in their behalf?
Frankly, a blessing they did what they had to do. Peterson's were of no help to remain 'friends' to the Rocha's, so you got yesterday's events.
I think, which I would know better, just might have gotten as emotional as the Rocha's to salvage what was left of my sibling. It is a life long mother protection aspect here.

I think this entire thing was just a psyche war against the Rochas. The police have removed all evidence; if Geragos hadn't gotten it all by now, he's just plain lazy or careless. In my opinion, the Petersons and their legal team knew they could hurt the Rochas, so they kept them out. I know the Petersons are fighting for their son's life, but shame on 'em for this. Imagine deliberately trying to hurt people in this situation. Unbelievable. Let's see them try and clean up this PR nightmare, because the Petersons have really stepped in it this time. I started out having sympathy but not anymore, and I certainly have no respect for them either.

When my wife was preggers, both times she could not wear her rings because her fingers got fat...
I mean, they make maternity clothes for a reason - when people are pregnant, they gain weight. One could logically conclude that their fingers might ALSO get bigger...
but that's too easy - It's more likely that she was pregnant, but kept the same ring size and Scott cut off her hands when he killed her and took the rings...

Or any other Christmas time photos where her hands might be visible?

In all reality the house belongs to the lender. If the Peterson's don't make the mortgage payments the house goes to the lender and I don't know how they could afford to pay the payments with their rising attorney costs. Maybe they were planning on defraying those cost's allowing the defense team to stay there. I heard they were using the pool! The Peterson's are PO'd because furniture was taken and Geragos will have to sleep on the floor instead of the crib!
