I am very serious! I have never adopted a baby but know many who have tried with no results, so had to travel to China to get a 1 year old girl that was starving.

The only answer I have for all of the worlds problems is Jesus Christ. Without that there is little hope. No matter what the horrible conditions are, murder is never the answer.

When I said "not particularly", I was referring to your asking if the cat had gotten my tongue.

So, where do you stand on the issue? I assume by your hostility that you disagree with me?

I'm not gonna piss on either of your boots.

If you want to be nice and think you can persuade any idgit who thinks outlawing abortion is "enslaving women" be my guest.

If you agree with him...then..well...I'm damned sorry.

Folks like him will only get it when they have children of their own...and I'd bet he is soltero right now or he wouldn't be spouting PC platitudes that he thinks will endear him to the opposite sex.. If he doesn't "get it" after children then he never will.

Odd, how here on FR there seems to be a slight edge of men over women on my side of this issue. Maybe not so odd after all.

I'm on "your side" of this issue. I'm strongly pro-life.

I have skeletons....no one is perfect. One need not be perfect to form opinions or make judgement.

You'd do better to simply ask rather than surmise. I'm very open and honest...from my homepage to here. Why fake it?

Not that odd when you factor in guilt.

Why dont you read my posts on the subject, starting with the one I addressed to you at #905, and elaborated upon in the discussion that followed?

I read through them. They were few and rather unclear to me because I don't know the other side of the issue.

So, you are basically saying that abortion should be legal because the baby is a part of the mother's body? Am I correct?

I'm arguing the constitutional issue, as you can read..

You can answer those same questions I posed to jwalsh, or not..
If you haven't studied that 'side of the issue', perhaps you should, then get back to me.. Gnite for now..

I know...and I follow your work btw.

I simply can't make excuses for being militant on this issue...much like RKBA...it's my essence.

This issue more than any other X10 was pivotal to my conversion from messianic leftism to right wing conservatism.

I love babies (and the women who birth them) more than just about anything. It's why I'm here....at least that's how I feel in my gut and I am forever grateful to have been given the bounty in this arena that I have. They deserve outside of any religious reasoning to be protected by us. It's our duty and it's decency at it's core...regardless of their circumstance or origin they deserve the chance at life. Civilized societies have generally recognized this. It's instinctual.

I did not recognize this as a kid. That I confess.

I really have no idea. In the upper middle class environs where I live I'd say the soccer moms are about 70/30 pro-life. The "career" gals are maybe 50/50 depending on age or whther they have children themselves.

Nearly all are for a PBA ban...that's a good start.

The men who tend to be responsible husbands...even if Dems...are at least 80% pro-life. The Pubbie family men are 100% pro-life that I know.

I'm in a great neighborhood in Nashville in the South where about 25% of my neighbors are Yankee born and most of the women are stay-at homes and most of the men are docs, lawyers, pharmacists, Vandy professors or entreprenuers. The Yankees are slightly more liberal than us although I have a neighbor who is homegrown and a Dem activist full time and pro-abortion...although a friendly enough gal( she is sweet to me even when our friends try to bait her since my conservatism is well known by my yard signs and bumper stickers) and her hubbie is a trial lawyer...for what all that's worth.

All the gals are getting together at Book Club tommorow night to be "Sweet Potato Queens". We found a red boa for my wife today to wear. I wish I could be there but I'll be doing the Mister Mom thingie.....I can't wait till next month when it's at our house so I can "play" if they'll let me....lol....I love interactive conversation with gals and my perfect wife indulges me....actually she prefers the company of men over gals so this 30-50 something gal stuff is new for her.

Regards!

Well, I am disappointed.

I will resist the strong urge to respond to your ridiculous innuendo in the language you apparently prefer, and rather say that I am not your enemy, and that I will now give up trying to reason with you.

Identifying a lost cause has never been easier for me.

I appreciate your attempts to persuade me with the intelligent arguments of Ms. Crawford. Honestly, I can see why people are opposed to abortion. I just can't say that I agree with them. To me, it's having to choose the lesser of two evils, and I feel allowing abortion to remain legal produces less misery for the world than the alternative.

I do agree with those that oppose Roe v. Wade, simply on the grounds that it reeked of judicial activism (even though I agreed with the end result). I believe it should be an issue for individual states to address.

He set off a bomb at the 96 olympics.

You know this for a fact do you? Remember Richard Jewell? The guy is accused, not convicted.
