The snappy New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd went on the record this week, answering those who asked her recently about whether she and 'West Wing' creator Aaron Sorkin are an item.
Said the redhead: 'I never talk about my personal life. I dont even discuss it with the person I am dating.'
But this is nothing new.
Maureen has been giving me this feint for the last two years as I asked her this same question with regularity.
For your info, I think the answer is yes. They are an item.

They might be an item but we needn't worry about future implications. People like these tend to eat their young.

Whaddaya mean, "Yikes?" She's not a bad looking woman at all. It's not her face that makes her ugly, it's her words and her attitude. C'mon, be honest -- if she was a conservative and Katherine Harris was a liberal Demo, who would you say was more attractive?
This latest news doesn't surprise me in the least. She and Michael Douglas used to date, and it was Sorkin who put the words in Douglas' mouth in The American President, featuring Sorkin's first version of a Democratic Party wet-dream fantasy Chief Executive.

How hard up must Maureen be to take up with this dopehead? Maybe she thinks she can change him.

"Hey, Maureen, remember when I was a successful TV writer? I was really something back before they cancelled my show, huh?"
"Why, yes, Aaron, I suppose. But remember when the NYT used to run my columns? Before they fired me, I was syndicated all over the place. Those were the days, huh?"

Hmmm... Maureen Dowd and Aaron Sorkin an item, eh?
Their first child will be named.....
Clinton Hillbert Sorkin?
Karl Marx Sorkin?
Stalin Mikhail Sorkin?
Hillary Albright Sorkin?.....

I saw someone do a photoshopped pic combining Mo & Helen Thomas the other day. Now, I swear, I'm seeing a resemblance!

Well, inquiring minds want to know!
I thought that Sorkin was the kind of guy who only liked little boys.
What do you think she charges him? Of course, $2 does seem so appropriate but, since it is NYC, I guess it is probably higher. An "escort service" type relationship avoids competition with the street hookers and contact with the vice cops.
I like Sorkin, I really do and that is why I offer a word of advice. "Use protection!" You got to worry where that particular unit has been and be very careful of some of the new, especially nasty, STDs. Hey, no problem, that's what friends are for.

"Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"
