I'm with you. I can't even watch Fox now I'm so sick of it. Oh well... the history channel is much more educational anyway, even if the only thing on is "The History of Fast Food."

The way the media is going on about it you would think this was the only murder in the last two years anywhere in the world.

We sure haven't heard news about any of the others!

THANK YOU for this post, I am so tired of this case, it is indeed sad, but Laci (first name basis now) is NOT the only pregnant woman ever murdered. I think the memorial service was the point of disgust for me, I can understand a newsclip from the service, but broadcasting the service nationwide, breaking into the local evening news is absolutely too much. And then she is the teaser frequently on such programs as Entertainment Tonight, the story has become a source of entertainment for too many people

Rarely. If you are willing to pay attention to outrageous gossip I guess you can call that news. Most of the threads are filled with the "I've heard", "somebody said", etc. Anyone who questions the "facts" presented by the Laci cult is immediately demonized. There are probably more threads on Peterson, Laci and Modesto Police than there are on Iraq.

As soon as the name Peterson is mentioned I move on. All of them Fox included are just as obsessive about Jessica Lynch, trying desperately to make that story into something it isn’t.

I hope Fox News reads this thread; sensationalism is not news – shame on Fox!

I have nothing against the news reporting the facts, but the wall to wall speculation, "talking-head lawyers" and forensic analysis is getting rediculous. Fox has adopted special "theme music" for "Laci Peterson" coverage. I hit the off button. Enough is enough--I blame the media for turning court cases into "circuses". The media is obsessed with every infinitesimal detail and then run little segments on "America's Fascination With The Laci Peterson Case".
