1938 AD World War II-Won(Barely) 15 million dead Chinese vs 2 million dead Japanese but defeats Japan's army in Mainland East Asia, and regains Eastern coast, Manchuria, Hainan, and Taiwan.
15 MILLION Chinese died during WWII?
That's really interesting. I never knew that.

If it weren't for us, the Brits would be batting close to 1.000 for about the last 1,000 years.

1689 AD French And Indian Wars- Won British forces crushed the French defense in Canada and took over Montreal Whaaa.... Thought the French and Indian War was in the 1750's. I had an ancestor who served. George Washington did, too.
French Canada fell to General Wolfe on the battlefield at the Plains of Abraham, Sept 13, 1759.
1689, now that might be King William's War, when England won Nova Scotia and sent the Acadians (Cajuns) packing to Louisiana. A war against the French, but not the French and Indian War.

What's interesting to note is that virtually all of these battles have been West vs. West or East Vs. East, rarely ever the West vs. the East.

600 AD Anglo-Saxon Invasion- Won Celts eliminated by modern inhabitants of Britain(Legend of Arthur born of that era).
Article posted on FR a few days ago about a recent DNA study revealed that modern inhabitants of the British Isles are overwhelmingly Celtic and there's surprisingly little Anglo-Saxon DNA present.
So they weren't eliminated. Big difference between conquered and eliminated. It now seems the Anglo-Saxon invasion was like the Normans, a very small elite that came in and took over, not a mass migration.

1337 AD Hundred Years War- Won (Mostly) English Longbowmen slaughtered the French nobility in a series of one-sided battles. War ended with the English in control of Normandy and Castile.
Indisputably LOST by the English, even though they won all the big battles, interestingly.
They began the war controlling most of France and France was a small and weak state, and at the end they controlled very little of France and France had become quite powerful.
Castile is the central province of Spain, not France, and I don't believe the British ever controlled it in this war. Did you mean some pother province?

1812 AD War of 1812- Lost, British again defeated by their own colonists.
IMHO this war was won by Britain; at best, it was a draw. In no way, shape, or form did America win.
The main reason the war was started was so we could conquer Canada. (Forget all that business about impressing sailors and whatnot...that was the cover story. And the British actually gave in on those demands prior to us declaring war, though we didn't find out about it till after we declared war.)
We failed completely in Conquering Canada, our main war aim. Hence, we lost.
For obvious reasons the victories of the Constitution and other frigates, the Battle of Lake Erie, and the Battle of New Orleans, are emphasized in the US, while the battles of Bladensburg and a lot of really embarassing US losses on the Canadian border (most of the fighting in the war was on this border) are not mentioned much if at all. Even the burning of Washington doesn't get all that much play.

1240 AD Mongol Invasion of Novogrod- Lost Mongels proceeded to defeat the state of Novogrod, thus consolidating Western Russia along with the eastern portion into the Kahnate of the Golden Horde. About 40% of entire population of European Russia killed due to Mongol invasions. Not correct, Novograd never fell to Mongols, swamps melted and horde turned south to Kiev. After Catholics betray Orthodox by sending first Lithuanians (defeated on Nevo river) then Tuetonics, Saint Prince Alexander Nevski allied with Mongols against Catholics.
PS: missed the whole Russian Kieven wars against Kazars (won) against Constintinople (won) against various barbaric nomads (upto Mongols) won.

1938 AD World War II- Won 37 million Russian dead versus 8 million German dead. Russia takes control of Eastern Europe, East Germany Not true. 20 million civilians killed by German, 8 million Russian troops killed vs 6 million German troops....unknown German civilians casualties...but much less since we did not exterminate them.
