[history]
On the eve of Minnesota's entry into a new era of expanded handgun rights, Republican leaders pushed Tuesday for a one-word change in the rules for barring legal pistol-packers from private property.
But DFLers rejected the fix as more than a minor technical correction and repeated their calls to repeal -- lock, stock and barrel -- the law that will make permits to carry handguns in public available to many more people.

Emphasis added. Once again the DFL proudly shows off what it's all about: fear and obstruction.

You expected different?
Why, I haven't even applied for my permit, yet, and already I can feel myself becoming a homicidal maniac.

The law has been in effect for 16+ hours. What's the death toll, I haven't heard?

There's no need to change anything. I love the DFL's hysteria and panic. Why those CCW holders will go on a rampage through the Twin Cities... ;-)

Do they accept out-of-state applications? I may want to add Minnesota to my CCW permit collection...

Has a DFL'er been shot today? You can be sure they would have mentioned it if the law was in that fact THAT dangerous.

Oh, boy. Three-quarters of the state will be dead in 48 hours. I see blood in the streets. Blood on the saddle. Blood on the ground. Great big puddles of blood all around...

I tell you, its a Wild West bloodbath. They really need to bring over Baghdad Bob to work on their anti-gun spiel. Its getting old.

We issue to non-residents, but you have to apply in person (to any Minnesota sheriff you choose.)

"It frightens me," said one of more than 600 signers so far, Jennifer Lawton of Minneapolis, holding month-old daughter Josie to her breast. "I'm actually nervous about going to the State Fair this year," another place where handguns cannot be prohibited. If I'm not mistaken, it was legal last year, and the year before, and the year before...for permit holders to carry concealed weapons to the State Fair. I must have missed the part about all those shoot-outs and the mayhem and death.
Anyway, this is the kind of maroon that populates the Democratic Party these days. I can't comprehend anyone that still has a brain claimimg to be a Democrat...or maybe none do. I know if I were one I would change affiliation today as these people are an embarrassment. It might even be contagious.

Whether you carry concealed or not,we gun owners must prove the liberals wrong on any gun issue. If this is done the liberal anti-gun crowd will lose public support.

Do you know if there's a Sheriff's station in the MSP Airport? I may wind up passing through there later this year on my way to visit my parents.

When my glasses get dirty I may not see the sign on the door, great idea to tell me in person!
So I can shop elsewhere.

Do they accept out-of-state applications? I may want to add Minnesota to my CCW permit collection... I believe we have reciprocity and honor carry permits from most other states.

I see blood in the streets. Blood on the saddle. Blood on the ground. Great big puddles of blood all around... Ah, that explains that big blood splatter I saw on the freeway this afternoon. I just thought someone had hit a deer. I see now it must have been a road rage incident that turned into a shootout.

I was wondering the same thing. How deep is the blood running in the streets? How many babies have been mowed down by pistol packin' rednecks? Any crazies in clocktowers? Road rage massacres?
Inquiring minds want to know.

What? It didn't happen in Michigan? You mean it hasn't happened in Michigan yet. Just you wait.
