Greenpeace Demonstrators Block ExxonMobil HQ Gate

DALLAS -- Greenpeace demonstrators were arrested after protesting global warming Tuesday morning, attempting to block ExxonMobil's compound in Irving, its international headquarters.

A statement from the environmental group Greenpeace said 45 demonstrators tried to block access to the complex, saying ExxonMobil isn't doing enough to help solve global warming.

Some demonstrators were positioned across the entrance while others reportedly entered the building to serve a list of charges against the company. The move comes as ExxonMobil's board of directors and international executives attempt to gather from across the world for Wednesday's annual general meeting.

Some were reportedly inside the building, while others were on the roof, holding a banner that brands the building a "global warming crime scene."

Boy what a surprize to me. To hear them preach you would think that they all live in tree trunks or caves, cook with only what dead wood they can find, walk everwhere they go, wear masks so not to breath the bad air, eat grass (provided it is dead), wear only leaves (provided that they were already dead)to cover their bodies.

What a group of morons, and they want everone else to be like them. Well guess what, we are just like them because we don't do any of this moronic stuff any more than they do.

Riiiight. They have good paying jobs (or could have, if they chose to work), autos, airconditioned housing, dvd players, etc. But they don't want Africans, Asians, etc to "be like them," i.e. prosperous, comfortable, healthy and well fed. That would be, like, an environmental disaster if billions of brown people were "consuming" like they (the elitist Western lefties) do.

In short, hundreds of millions must live in degradation and/or under oppression (and frequently die in large quantities) for the sake of "environmentalism". And while the left condems the underpriveledged to their mud huts, they ignore the abundant evidence that poverty is the greatest threat to the environment.

Better that millions upon millions die, and hundreds of millions suffer, than the lefties have to admit that capitalism works.
