not quite the police gave the info, by law they have to notify those whose conversations were intercepted, and notify them. In this case, Media lawyers want to know, and hear what is on the wiretaps, therefore the motions are before a court hearing, and pending that outcome, will be either admonished or admitted into evidence. I should say, also the lawyers who were also intercepted have that right too, and final for investigations if a law was broken on privileged or privacy rights..(that is my take on it)
