After the Indy 500 race, catch all the action in a 400 lapper from Lowe's Motor Speedway.
God Bless our Armed Forces members and families.
Never Forget those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms and this nation and its allies.

To my chagrin, I know next to nothing about NASCAR. Who is the favorite?

Well, just rest yur chagrin in the corner. It's OK, we all stayed at a Holiday Express Inn last night and are experts on everything in here, ;-)
It's really hard to say. Jimmy Johnson may be hot, Bobby LaBonte, Earnhardt Junior, Pick one.. LOL
600 miles is tough on engines and drivers.

Sorry to see Sarah Fisher out so early.
These cars are like finely crafted clocks, very delicate versus NASCAR, they're like Timex and take a licking and keep on ticking

Years ago, when I was selling Mazdas, I had an opportunity to drive a Turbo RX-7 pedal to the metal. Man, it was awesome! I have tremendous respect for the stamina of these racers!
I hope your guy is the winner. Drink a glass of milk for me when he crosses the finish line! ; )

"you're in need of a world of outlaw race"
Is that an organized racing event?

Good afternoon, fellow motor sports fans. Indy is the only open wheel race I watch. Nascar is my love.
My husband is at the Indy 500 - row A of turn 1. He had pit passes, so I'm sure he is having a great time. He works for Penske, so he's rooting for team Penske in both races today.
The A-team and I will watch from home.

Your hubby is a lucky man. :-)

I'm rooting for Kurt Busch, Bobby Labonte or Jeff Gordon, not necessarily in that order.
I may have to drink milk. I should be out of beer by the end of the race, if I've timed my pit stops right. :-)

You bet! Not just because he's at Indy, either. Also because I am a low maintenance, sports fanatic wife. :-)
If the Indy race concludes in a timely fashion, he'll drive home to catch the end of the better race.
To: NormsRevenge
I was only kidding about the milk. You still have time to make a beer run, I believe. Unless you have those idiotic blue laws we have here in Oklahoma where one is forced to drive to Missouri on Sundays when you didn't plan ahead. ; )

I was behind a Lightning Friday in my 'Vette and the guy just trounced the accelerator at about 40 mph and just lit 'em up!!! I was impressed!

I have no idea what was going on down 66th... a few Murray cops, a herd of fire trucks spreading foam. not a peep on the Murray or county fire channel... they were spraying on the little cottonwood creek bridge. nothing on the news or in this morning's Salt Lake Commie Gay Rat PC Trombone either.
dunno. wierd.
