Loveland was extra honky today. It could be that the is Memorial Day weekend.
Freepers that showed up in Loveland were
Absolute Power
Island Princess
Weldgophardline and his wonderful wife
fivetoes
Along with Mike from the Marine Corps League and Eunice from the Loveland Military Families support group.
The highlight was when Island Princess went across the street to the Dairy Queen and cam back with big ice crean cones for everyone. Thanks IP! It was a site as she brought along some Dairy Queen employees to help her carry the cones. It was nice, but rather hard to wave a fleag, hold a cone a wave to the people who were constantly honking their horns.
As we were winding down a wonderful thing happened to Island Princess and she met a new friend. I'll let her tell you about it.

Hey, Island Princess. You should send this pic to your Husband to show off to the guys over there. Have Kinko's blow it up and ship it out. I think it's a great pic!

Sorry I couldn't come to the last few FReeps. New baby and all.
What's the word on the Americahaters? Are they all still in a depression pit and ashamed to show their sniveling, loser faces after they've been proven to be cowardly, pathetic, little drug-induced bums to the entire city?
I miss you all! Take care and thanks for the ping!

Hi FReeper family!
Another glorious day in northern Colorado. I just don't notice the 67 mile drive (one way) that I make to get up to you guys!
There were only a few of us on the corner today, but each of us have such strong spirits that it seemed as if there were many more. We really seem to have a great impact on the motorists, even when we are few in number. Yea, WE ROCK!!
Yup, the Dairy Queen cones were to celebrate fivetoes' birthday. He's an extraordinary man and he deserves a thousand ice cream cones! Though I agree with him, that it was difficult to wave my flag, hold my sign and wave shaka to all the wonderful motorists, while trying to enjoy my cone. As my husband sometimes says "good initiative, bad judgement"! haha
I met Absolute Power for the first time. It was great to meet him! He commented that all of us were representing the Marine Corps... Sure enough, all FReepers in attendance were Marine veterans or family! That shouldn't surprise us, though. It seems even the loudest and most boisterous motorists are Marines! Look at their license plates or stickers on their vehicles...
We also got a few firetrucks who honked their loud horns!! Mrs. weldgophardline and I yelled to them "We love you!", b/c we do appreciate our firefighters and cops as well. Lots of great honks, smiles and waves today in Lovely Loveland. Sometimes my cheeks begin to hurt from all the smiling!! It's impossible not to grin from ear to ear. Trust me. There was one poor confused soul who yelled "World peace!!" from her car, though. I felt sorry for her. World peace would be nice, wouldn't it? I wonder when she thinks that'll happen...
I told weldgophardline that we never cause trouble (unless we are pushed to the limit- I mean, come on, we can only take so much), that we are always positive and smiling and that we are much more peaceful than the peaceniks. I said, maybe we are the real peaceniks. Weldgophardline immediately replied "no, we are the PEACEMAKERS". I stand corrected! =)
A very unexpected thing happened to me today. As I was trying to keep my Marine Corps flag clear of my DQ cone, Mike from the Marine Corps League approached me and said that I had to meet someone whose husband was also a Marine deployed to the Middle East. I introduced myself and asked her where her husband was based out of. She replied that she didn't know. So I told her that mine is stationed at Buckley AFB and she said "so is mine". I thought that was interesting and told her "mine is with Alpha Battery". She said "so is mine". I asked "14th Marines?" and she replied yes. I asked "Mortuary Affairs" and she said yes!!! I was speechless for a minute. Her husband is a Lcpl. working with my husband! I was amazed. All I can say, is that God works in mysterious ways and He is everywhere, all of the time... I gave her my home number, work number and e-mail address. Pretty amazing, yea?
Thank you FReeper family for another awesome day. It's a great feeling to know that to some Americans, Memorial Day is not about sales, an extra day off, and BBQ's. I'm proud to be able to call you all a part of my family. God bless and be safe!
To: fivetoes; weldgophardline; AbsolutePower
Very big thanks to Mrs. weldgophardline for bringing little FReeper dog!!! I think I'm in love...
To: Island Princess; All
It is way too cool how you came to meet your new friend! It is a small world. Thanks to all you FReepers who are making the rallies. My appologies to you all for not being there, I am absolutely overwhelmed with work these days and it looks like I will be unable to FReep for quite some time. So much for the lousy economy. You see, I sell office furniture, and ever since the Iraq war started winding down , we have been just slammmed with people coming in to place orders. It seems that a lot of building plans have been dusted off and people are now gearing up for expansion. Just like our troops did, the local economy is getting in the mode of "Let's Roll!". Since I am an entrepreneur, it is time to go for it, make hay while the sun shines.
Our FReeper days are not near coming to an end. Our troops days in harms way are not ending either. The leftists have not gone away, they are regrouping to be a thorn in Bush's side. I promise I will be out there on the corner with you all as soon as time permits.
FReep On FReeper friends!!

I am glad the economy is on the rebound for you and there is more work to be done. Don't tell the lefties, they may want in on the deal. Then again they may just want to pretend that nothing is happening so they can have something to complain about next year.
We miss you out there. I heared that the lefties were out numbered again in Ft. Collins.

Way to go. You guys/gals ROCK. Thanks for being there representing the real Americans.
You had ice cream and Fresno has cookies or brownies so I'm going to have to come up with something for our Columbia FReeps. lol

Well, don't ask me to cook! Ask DogRobber about my cooking. He's tired of my Cajun cooking...blackened chicken, blackened fish, blackened oatmeal, blackened soup. He doesn't like my blackened cookies, either. Man has no sense of adventure! (Actually, the cookies are fine if you use enough hot sauce!)
Colorado-You guys are fantastic! Wonderful job. It is great meeting new friends at these events. And, visiting with old ones you don't get to see often enough.

Bump.

The Fort Collins ralley went very well. I haven't been able to make the last two. There were about 20 or so patriots and around 5 peacenicks. We also had the good ole sounds of the bag-pipes there too. It went well and everyone is looking foward to Memorial Day.
