[history]
A Santa Clara County jury found a war protester who served nine days in jail because she refused to divulge her name guilty Wednesday of blocking a road during a demonstration.
Mallory Moser of Berkeley was arrested April 22 during a protest outside the Lockheed Martin facility in Sunnyvale. She called herself only ``Jane Doe'' or ``Greenie'' and was not released from jail because authorities didn't know her true identity.

I don't call 6 mos in jail a slap on the wrist. I hope the courts do more of this - maybe the idiots will get the message - civil protest is just that - CIVIL.

Fashionable within liberal circles, no doubt.

Anti-capitalist commentator on KPIG radio broadcast this suggestion on March 28, defining the actions of the demonstrators and instructed them on how to make their "direct action" hurt "the man" even more.
He says when your protests don't work move into the economic range, causing the "worker ants" to be unable to do whatever it is they do. Lying down in a street interstection so people can't get to work costs the town a certain amount of money, which gets their attention.
If that doesn't work, he suggests getting in "direct confrontation" with the law. If you are arrested you have only just become to fight. DO NOT MAKE BAIL. TAKE ENOUGH MONEY FOR A PHONE CALL. NO IDENTIFICATION. DO NOT GET OUT OF JAIL. MAKE THEM FEED YOU. GO TO SICK CALL AND COMPLAIN. MAKE IT AS EXPENSIVE AS YOU CAN FOR THE CITY.
He then suggests you move to the "final phase", "direct action. He says rolling a hand grenade into a restaurant can achieve that goal. He says "direct action" is taking on corporate franchises by violence and arson.
Now if the actions of this Mallory seems familiar, she is only following the advice of Travus T Hipp on KPIG radio.
Listen to this fellow if you dare:

I hope the courts do more of this When the Mayor of Berkeley got caught and convicted of stealing the student newspapers, they sentenced him to something harsh like baby sitting some homeless guy for a day.

I don't have to listen - I already know what their methods are - very frighting. The public is getting fed up with this kind of behavior, and cities are cracking down - however, the liberal courts still have to get the message.
Judges can be impeached I believe - I don't know what it takes, but maybe if there are a few successful cases, it would prove a point and get the message across.

"I remember KFAT .. I don't think KPIG is anywhere near them ;-|"
Same people though, almost. Laura Ellen Hopper was station manager at both stations. Travus did commentary at both. The music is definitely _not_ the same.
Poor old KFAT. It certainly was a diamond in the very very rough, in its time.

What bothers me is that "capitalist" radio station would pay this guy to spew his "bring the system down, man" kind of anti-capitalist drivel. It makes absolutely no sense.
To: hedgetrimmer
Hmmmm? I believe NPR has been doing that for years.
I'm hoping - if we can get a big enough lead of GOP in congress, perhaps we can finally DEFUND this overly biased radio programming.

"direct action is terrorism"......Geez! Why is this guy not arrested? He is guilty of inciting!
To: hedgetrimmer
Sounds like that A-hole needs a lesson in the prison system. I doubt if he would do the things he is telling the troglodites that actually listen to do.

Lol. That ALONE would make me skedaddle out of there!
I'm getting ill just thinking about jail food which is similar to a school cafeteria food. Or the same.

The fact that several bay area radios stations have had people on whose goal is to incite really troubles me. Interesting that this link is still up. The day it happened the station was deluged with complaints, but they insist they see no wrong in what this man is saying.
I wonder if his sponsors ever listen to his program?
