I remember reading somewhere that one of the obvious signs of a dysfunctional personality is when people start referring to things that were the results of their own actions as if they were acts of nature that "just happened" to them.

He's talking about how eager he was to pass welfare reform. He freakin' vetoed it 3 times!!!!

As much as I hate clinton, we have made so much progress since he came to the fore , that I think he has really helped our cause. Since he became a national figure, we have taken the house, the senate, and the white house. We should add to our majority in the senate in the next election.
The main reason for my positive opinion is that the dems are so far to the left that they can only take positions that Americans don't agree with. I am very optimistic we will continue to lead the way to a better america.

Is it a lot of screwey things happened to me or I caused a lot of screwey things to happen, the latter sounds better.

He looks worse than usual. The bags are huge under his eyes. He looks flat-faced and haggard. Actually, he just looks plain old.
He appears to be giving a lecture in front of a pitifully small class. Apparently this is the class at an Arkansas university about the Clinton presidency.
QUESTION: "In 1981, you lost the governorship. What valuable lessons did you learn from that?"
CLINTON: I made a lot of the same errors in my first two years as governor as I did my first two years as President. ... I was young, impetuous, I was hard headed ... "
He then talks on and on about the Cuban refugees that were sent to Arkansas during his first term, and someone who dropped wrench in a nuclear silo and nuclear fuel spilled out and a nuclear warhead was in a farmer's field. I guess these are the reasons he lost that election.
QUESTION: Would you have done anything different in Bosnia?
CLINTON: "Absolutely." He then segues into Bush's absence on 9/11 (for some strange reason) and then blabs on and on and on and on, giving us the history of Bosnia, starting with former President Bush sending troops there.
QUESTION: My sister is retarded and we take care of her at home and under your administration we got more help for her [while you were President]. I want to know why you care more? [Visualize the female questioner holding back tears as she asks this.]
CLINTON: I think it was the way I was raised. .... I never stopped being a human being. .... [he goes on with a story of his Irish Catholic Republic ex-college roommate who is an airline pilot calling him on the phone and moaning about Gingrich's budget cutting that will take away the shoe subsidy for his friend who works at a minimum wage job and gets a subsidy to ride a bus and apparently has a child with cerebral palsy who now won't get the five pairs of shoes a year, because cerebral palsy children go through a lot of shoes.]
Also, picture the questioner sitting there nodding vividly as Clinton pedels this BS.
CLINTON CONTINUES: "A country is like a person, you've got a little ying, a little yang ..... "
He continues saying the tax cut is not needed and won't help the country.
I've taken about as much of this as I can. Carry on fellow masochistic freepers, I've got to take a shower.
