Rally For America: Who Is Going?
Me ^ | Today | Me

Posted on 05/23/2003 5:41:55 PM PDT by YoungKentuckyConservative

Just curious as to if any othe Freepers plan on attending the rally this weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed the rally in Cleveland prior to the war and am looking forward to dragging my parents down with me to West Virginia, flags in hand, patriotism soaring.

God Bless America!!!!!!!!!!!

We've got family in WV but can't make it due to time/money restraints. I'm sure it'll be great.

Glen Beck is getting better or I'm getting used to his style. I'll actually turn him on now. Used to be he drove me nuts. I used to really like M. Savage. I still do, but he gets me crazy more than he used to. Hannity is good, solid, enjoyable.

Rush remains the king. No one is close. His ideas are his greatest strength, and he's got some other really great strengths.

Nobody is going. FR is ignoring the event. Evern West Virginia freepers are ignoring the event. (Go look at the WV message board.) "Sh***y little West Virginia" is just a joke, I guess.

John & Ken, Phil Hendrie, Bill Handle, and Larry Elder have great radio shows I enjoyed while living in Los Angeles all last year.

Well that's Free Republic's problem. I seem to recall seeing a F.R. sponsored "rally" in D.C. recently, featuring Bob Dornan (who ought to draw a crowd) that was on CSPAN. About twenty or thirty showed up.

I was at Glenn Beck's "Rally for America" in Auburn, IN and there were 20,000 people there. It was an unbelievably moving experience for me and my children. There have been over 100,000 Americans at these things.

If anyone at Free Republic wants to "ignore" the last gigantic rally near Jessica Lynch's home town, it will demonstrate a Democrat-like degree of self-centeredness, envy, and myopia.

I can't wait to see photos. Post 'em if you've got 'em.

BTW, today's Rally was funded by average Americans who sent in ONE DOLLAR at a time so the press couldn't bitch any more about Clear Channel acting nefariously.

This newspaper gives pretty good coverage.
Scroll down to the photo gallery for pictures.
Notice the handful of protesters got at least 4 photos in the gallery. Go figure...

Hehe. I'm about the opposite. I find Hannity less interesting, and Rush seems too much like the "good old boy" Republican in the golf pants.

I find Savage and Beck speak much more to the "fevor" I feel when I read about what is going on and sift through the propaganda. I possess a very nasty "Norman" of my own, and I appreciate knowing that there are more Savages out there....just in case our Norman's should need to be released at one time or another. When the SA comes calling for my guns, I think I'll defer control to Norman.

Great photos! Thanks for sharing. I took some of the rally on my non-digital camera, so when I get them developed I'll share.

I was hoping the attendance would be greater, but I guess its understandable considering this was a "drive" for most people and the venue wasn't in a "big city"....so nearly everyone in attendance had to make a concerted effort to get there. It was my honor to do so.
