Wow, Annika could have used your putter. With your miraculous three putts she might have made the cut. What course were you on? I've played Myrtle a few times.

I'd take up ice wrestling if it was with that East German babe.

At what sports are women competitive with men?

I will add billiards and snooker. Oh! Wait. You said sports, not games. Nevermind.

Firstly, I am most definitely NOT disappointed that Sorenstam lost. Nor, however, am I pleased. I am neutral as to her effort. My interest is as a woman who hates these phony "Rah! Rah! The-chick's-making-history-by-taking-on-the-boys" events. I see this more as a political rather than a sports event.

Secondly, I most definitely did not respond only to you, or perhaps you didn't read the second note in that post. You are absolutely correct that others kept the running argument going in addition to yourself. The second note addressed you as a group.

Now, the PGA tour will go back to its boring self with nobody watching.

The PGA is watched plenty. Try getting yourself a ticket to the Masters and you'll find that out.

The LPGA is the tour that nobody watches although that may change somewhat, albeit temporarily, until the Annika novelty wears off.

If I took up golf and practiced very hard for about five years, she would only whip me by about 20 strokes.

Maybe, maybe not. Some guys pick up a golf club and shoot in the 70's the first year.

If you try it, forget the common wisdom of hitting it striaght in the beginnin. Learn to hit it as far as you can and worry about straight later.

LOL, golf is a growth industry and the PGA Tour isn't going begging. The LPGA on the other hand is.

Why is for others to determine.

I'll go with the Iditerod and target shooting, and add horse racing and IRL racing.

I wonder how long this thread would have been if Keuhne had been invited instead of Sorenstam?

Face it, B of A made out like a bandit this past week.

The PGA is watched plenty. Try getting yourself a ticket to the Masters and you'll find that out.

The Masters is unique. Colonial sold out for the first time, this year, because of Annika Sorenstam. The Byron Nelson never sells out, even with Tiger Woods.

I guess "plenty" is relative. And, I'm biased; I watch the Majors, but only on Sunday. It's like pro basketball; catch the last two minutes of ANY GAME, and you've basically seen the game.

If women are competitive with men at horse-racing, why are there not more women as professional jockeys? Does being a jockey require some sort of strength/weight ratio that favors men?
