Below is a list of 95 liberal talk hosts, liberal talk networks, liberal talk stations or syndicated liberal programs that are in the marketplace ALREADY. None garners an audience anywhere near the top conservative hosts. So what makes the liberals believe that they have been "shut out" of the marketplace o ideas? Could it be that ad $$$$ are an indicator of merit that decides who gets on? Could it be that when it comes to the marketplace of ideas, liberal shelves are either bare or hold stale goods? Any additions, deletions, comments or even your opinions are welcome on the content of this list. It was made possible by the combined efforts of the FreeRepublic.com community. Thank you to all who helped in the earlier efforts.

For the record, the ultral liberal Pacifica radio which sponsored many of the anti-war marches, is really part of the Public Broadcasting system. They recieved $1.3 million in your tax dollars last year....
Yes I know they don't advertise it, but they still are!
I'm not sure of the criteria is to be considered part of NPR.
I know that NOTE 5 - GRANTS in the last audited financial report at pacifica.org say the five Pacifica stations received $1.2 million from the Corporation For Public Broadcasting that year.
United For Peace and Justice's Leslie Cagan is the head of Pacifica's Board.

It isn't about wanting another. It's about putting their show in so that they displace conservative alternatives. It is a subtle type of censorship.
I wasn't aware that Hightower still had a radio show.
Howie, if you're out there, mea culpa babe, don't ever change.
He had his premier this past Monday on WDEV.
I think I saw a blurb that they may be planning to take live callers during the show. I'm surprised no one had thought
of that before.
I recognized some of the names on the list and agree they are liberal. I question two on your list. Tony Brown speaks mostly to a Black audience from a black perspective. I have heard him criticize Democratic policies and dont hold him as a liberal. I have attached a link to an article authored by him that suggests the republicans should garner another 10 percent of black votes so as to toast the Democrats. I believe he would prefer it that way.
9. Tony Brown - WLS 890 AM

People who believe Howie Carr is a liberal have not listened to him or they are just plain nuts.
