What we're talking about here are timeless issues of peace,>>

We gained it by forcing Saddam's nazi government to surrender.

social justice,>>

We achieved it in Iraq by abolishing Saddam's nazi government. We maintain it by keeping the leftist kleptocrats of the Democrat Party from making any of their ideas into law.

the common good,>>

Crippling terrorist organizations and the governments that back them achieves that very end.

human dignity, >>

I can think of no greater contribution to human dignity than the destruction of the Saddamite regime, the closure of his concentration camps, the abolition of his secret police force and the dissolution of his army.

fairness, >>

What is more unfair than doing the full Monica on a political regime that needs secret police to survive?

democracy. >>

See "Screwtape Proposes a Toast" for what is truly meant by the Left when they say "democracy."

We're not talking about things limited to the "'60s", we're talking about the very issues that humanity has struggled with for 60 centuries or more. >>

Yes. and for once we're bringing about advancements in those very areas. Except WE're doing it. Not YOU, Abbie. WE.

The Democratic Party... has been spineless since the 2000 election when they allowed the media, repubs, and Bush's cronies to attack Gore unfairly and then steal the electio. >>

Well, you guys ran up against a rock you've been trying to shatter since 1992. It's called the "United States Constitution." So long as it exists you will NEVER achieve your Satanic agenda.

You can't find a democrat in Washington, DC who is pissed off about the 2000 election anymore. >>

That's because they're have the standard number of chromosomes and have realized that they LOST that election, "Florida" or not.

Our party is spineless and that is why we will lose seats in the house and senate in 2004 and will probably lose the White House for the first time since 1988. >>

The party is NOT spineless; I wish it were; that would make it easy to wreck it. However, this guy needs to realize that the 2002 elections were lost in 1998--when the GOP managed to stop the Democrats from doing The Funny Uncle to the 2000 Census.

I truly hate the Washington, DC dems. >>

Well, it's good to see SOMETHING we have in common.

They are suppose to give us a voice in Washington and all they do is kiss Bush's arse! >>

Better to kiss Bush's arse than to suck Clinton's ... well, we'll not go there.

As of tonight I don't have a party... >>

Sure you do. It's always the same party, whether you call it Bolshevik, Communist, National Socialist, Baathist, Worker's, or post-'68 Democratic; each of which is associated with a sky-high pile of skulls. That includes the Democratic party: the skulls in question are those of unborn babies.

Agree completely, they are ALL pretty much completely out of touch. I really had high expectations for Pelosi, it looks like she is just another spineless wishwashy wimp or worse. The system appears to be beyond just broken it is dead and rotting. >>

No, the Democrats are rotting, that is fer sure, but they are not, alas, completely dead. UNDEAD, maybe, but not dead.

The thoughts that this Convert posted are being thought again and again across America. Every new obstructive idea peels away the last loyalty to the Dem party of a few more Americans. The cumulative effect is going to be huge by November 2004.

One can claim to be anything over the internet, that does not mean they really are what they claim to be. But if it is for real then I salute the person for FINALLY waking up.

Not long after Sept 11, I cruised on over to "Delta Uniform" from FR to view the opposition. One poster on the 911 tragedy had a link to his/her/it blog. I clicked on it and began to read. The Dem blog admitted to being glad that Bush was President, instead of Gore. He/she/it admitted that the thought of Gore leading the country during this crises was "hard to imagine". He/she/it said that Bush made them feel "more secure". I am not surprised at the converts remarks above.

"All the Democrats stand for seems to be bash Bush and not offering up ideas".

This phenomenon may be to Republicans benefit, as it was to Republicans defeat in '96. Many uncommitted voters did not like the Clinton bashing in '96 any more than they will like Bush bashing in '04. The Dems, terrorist-like, dislike of Bush will work to their disadvantage.

Wow!

There is hope for those who are willing to think for themselves, and finally see the light.

As for the others, let them wallow in their delusions.

I know a lot of Democrats and Independents who became Republicans because of Bush's leadership. I was one of those Independents who registered Republican because of Bush. I believe George W. Bush will go down in history as one of America's greatest presidents, because of his leadership in the War on Terror. His place in history will only improve along with the economy.

I was raised as a democrat...grandfather was teacher, mom teacher, brother teacher

Whoa, with a legacy like that he was doomed to be a Dem. Glad to see he threw off the yoke.

I spent the entire period during the war (Iraqi Freedom) "underground"- behind enemy lines so to speak. I don't know if I made any difference. I gave it my best shot though.

The democrats all parrot the same tired old lines. There must be a memo sent out to each party member weekly.

The average rank-and-file Democrat probably wants to write-in President Bush's name when primary time comes.

Hmmmm. While it's heartening to read this "conversion," sounds like it might just be a FReeper trying to talk sense into those folks. Either way, it's a good story.

I grew up in a democrat household. My whole family is democrat, except for one cousin. When I was in college, 21, and voting for the first time (back in the dark ages when you still had to be 21 to vote) I became a Republican. I tell you, it is refreshing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
