The Untouchables was one of my favorite all time TV programs. Not historically correct but entertaining.

Ooops, I should have said this was an Unsolved Mystery...

Rest in peace, Mr. Stack.

Sorry to hear about this. Bob Stack always seemed like a standup guy who could could laugh at himself. His routine in Airplane was a classic (Noooo, that's what they'll be expecting us to do) and, of course, The Untouchables (aka "Three Years in a Vest") was some of the best television ever made.

Celebrities go in threes. Yesterday Dave DeBushier (sp?), now Robert Stack. Can Bob Hope be far behind?

One of the few hollywood types that would admit he owned guns. When he was younger he was one of the top "Trap and Skeet" shooters in the USA.

Yep. He even wrote a bunch of articles on that subject for Guns & Ammo and a few others.

Had one of the best speaking voices ever. Was also pretty damn funny in Airplane. RIP.

(The Federal govt should be protecting us from terrorists, not handing out goodies)
He started as the too handsome admirer of Carole Lombard in "To Have and Have Not" Than reshaped his career and image with a very good show " The Untouchables" Did nice work on "Unsolved Mysteries." He will be missed.
