Seattle, Washington - Microsoft admitted on Tuesday last week's unveiling of a toilet with high-speed Internet access was a hoax concocted by its British division.
The fake introduction of the iLoo on April 30, complete with technical drawings, got widespread play from news media around the world as Microsoft insisted it was no joke.
It was.
"This iLoo release came out of the (British) office and was not a Microsoft-sanctioned communication, and we apologise for any confusion or offence it may have caused," Microsoft spokesperson Bridgitt Arnold said.

What was their first hint? Isn't Loo English slang for toilet?

Maybe if the Microsoft employees spent more time actually working, their products wouldn't have so many bugs in them.

Nah, I prefer not to spend my days thinking of toilet hoaxes to play on people.
And why are you so sarcastic about Microsoft? Work there, huh? Didn't mean to offend your sensitive sensibilities.
Microsoft products are full of bugs. Sorry if the truth hurts you.

Who's being sarcastic? I don't work there. And no sensitivity involved either. I was being serious. Why don't you get a job there and set them straight?

They stole my idea. I was going to invent a device for the Eskimos. Thought I'd call it igLoo. You can program in Snobol. Problem is, the O.S. keeps freezing up.

To: Bush2000
you having a little problem? Your wife leave you? Your girlfriend wouldn't put out? Your kid flunk out of school?
Just because your "neck of the woods" eats, breathes and worships Microsoft doesn't mean the rest of us have to . So do yourself a favor, pal, and realize, that unless you are Bill Gates himself, that Microsoft doesn't deserve you taking up for it. Microsoft could care less whether you lived or died, and you're not even going to get one brownie point in your employee folder for attacking me on this forum. So who's the one who's really delusional, sweetie?
hehehehehe
