May 13, 2003 -- THE battle to land the first sitdown TV interview with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton took on a new twist yesterday.
Simon & Schuster, the publisher of Clinton's upcoming memoir, "Living History," has reportedly been feeling out CBS "60 Minutes" about an exclusive interview. But CBS insiders apparently skittish about it because the senator's husband, former President Clinton, is under contract to appear on the news magazine.

Just re-reading this article--Simon and Schuster want to get Helliary an interview on 60 mins--but 60 mins doesn't necessarily want her, because any interview is going to come with a strangling legal package? Anyone else see that?

But CBS insiders apparently skittish about it because the senator's husband, former President Clinton, is under contract to appear on the news magazine. The conflict of interest is NOT that they are paying Bill Clinton, rather that Simon & Schuster is the publishing arm of Viacom which owns SeeBS (as well as MTV and Blockbuster).
When VH-1 rebroadcast the Concert for NYC, the boos that Hillary received were overdubbed with cheers. That is the same way the concert appeared when later broadcast on CBS and eventually on DVD.
Viacommie is already paying both Clintons.

Actually they are trying to figure out how to break it to Bob Dole that they want to replace him with Hillary in the remaining Bill Clinton "issues" debates.

If you do, you'll have egg all over your face.
Hopefully somebody will ask some GOOD questions of Ms. Hillary and she'll have to squirm a bit. Hee hee, I would LOVE to see that.

Hopefully somebody will ask some GOOD questions of Ms. Hillary and she'll have to squirm a bit. Hee hee, I would LOVE to see that. Dream on. Hillary! will get exactly what she wants. 60 Minutes has been working as a PR firm for the Clintons ever since they coached Bill and Hill on how to sit when he was doing the damage control interview on the Jennifer Flowers story.
To: kattracks
Who cares?
When has her access to television cameras been limited? More p.r. garbage for her lousy book.

>>but 60 mins doesn't necessarily want her, because any interview is going to come with a strangling legal package
This is the real news, and don't plan on it being reported explicitly as such by the lamestream media. Hannity and O'Reilly and Rush and Boortz and others should hammer this point. The woman should have to face the press if she wants to run for office. Period.
To: Mrs. P
Another said: "In this business you never count your chickens before they're hatched." But these are turkeys.
One question I hope they ask is, "Well, Mrs. Rodham-Clinton, is it true that if water is poured on your head that you would actually melt away while screaming 'I'll get you my pretty.'"
A simple 'yes' or 'no' will do.
