Judicial Extremists
Posted on 05/12/2003 10:05:25 AM PDT by birdsman
As we all know, the Rats have been claiming "extremist" nominees have been submitted for judgeships. Since the 9th Circuit Court has decided that "One nation under God" is unconstitutional, I'd like to know where to find out which senators have voted for any of these "mainstream" judges in the 9th circuit. This is the 1st string that I've started, so excuse any mistakes.

So, holding the position that human reproduction should continue on a natural course through birth is extreme while believing an unborn child should be legally dismembered, burned or partially birthed before stabbing him in the back of the head and sucking his brains out when mommy is depressed is mainstream? Is that the RAT position?

I'm interested, too. Perhaps someone can also explain to me why the Democrats can label any and all pro-life judicial nominees as "extremists." Is a pro-life view so far out of the mainstream? Are their attacks discrimination against Christians?

The two judges responsible for the ruling on the Pledge of Allegiance were appointed by Nixon and Carter. There are 15 Senators who have been around long enough to have possibly voted for at least one of them, but I don't know where you would get vote listings from that long ago.

You get them by going to any library that has the Congressional Record. Law libraries are great for this. I used to use the Rutgers Camden Law Library when I lived in South Joisey.

The two judges on Newdow v. US Congress were Alfred T. Goodwin and Stephen Reinhardt.
There are a total of 45 judges on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. You can get their names and dates of appointment here.

First thread you have started ;-)

Isn't Reinhardt one of the idiots on the Ninth Circuit court?

One of many. More than half of the judges on the 9th Circuit were appointed by Carter or Clinton.
