I've understood that Allah says it's ok to lie, and even under oath, and upon the Koran, if it advances the Cause. Ala he himself, isn't bound to his word. He can lie, so why wouldn't his people lie?

"Islam has nothing to do with terrorism and the two do not meet at any point"There certainly are a lot of Muslims who never got this message, Abdullah.

Terrorism Is Alien to Islam
I suppose it all depends on what the definition of terrorism "is"...

You make a really great point - on the other hand it raises questions about the last 1460 years of Western and Central European history.
Those people were all Christian. They couldn't make it through a full decade without war or totalitarian (terroristic) regimes somewhere in the area in that whole period. In the end one group decided to dispose of the entirity of the Jews, and almost did so!
It's only now after 50+ years of a benign American Occupation that they've been able to tone it down.
Then there were the Mongol Invasions (roughly 600s to 1400s), and whether they were Buddhist, Moslem or Christian, they were equally brutal and rapacious!
Islamic civilization has been, on the whole, at least as peaceful as that of Western and Central Europe.

This is good news. So when do they start supporting freedom for Muslims to leave Islam without the death penalty?

So, Muslims are aliens? I wonder if we could design some special glasses, so that we could see them in crowds of humans?

Funny statement. The cold, hard fact is that Islam IS terror. Islam was spread not by the power of the word, but by the power of cold, hard steel. Believe or be killed. That is the factual history of Islam, and it has continued unchanged to this day. Islam is a religion of terror.

Actually in most of the parts of the world whre Islam is the dominant religion it was spread by peaceful means. In the early days it was spread by violence, of course, mostly at the hands of former Byzantine "Christian" soldiers working for the Arabs.
One thing for sure, in the 7th and 8th centuries, the Moslems knew where to go to find guys who knew how to chop heads, eh?!

Unless you mean like today in the Philipines and Indonesia.
Depends on your definition of "peaceful"?

Terrorism Is Alien to Islam After running this through the "truth in advertizing" filter, we are left with:
"Islamics are Alien Terrorists"

Interesting... I agree, not all moslems are terrorists... It's funny, though, how it seems that the vast majority of the world's terrorists are moslems, and the vast majority of strife in the world is either in, or caused by, moslem countries...

MAKKAH, 11 January Muslim scholars from around the world yesterday spelled out their definition of terrorism saying it covers all acts of aggression unjustly committed by individuals, groups or states against human beings including attacks on their religion, life, intellect, property or honor. They also said "any act of violence or threat ... designed to terrorize people or endanger their lives or security" also amounts to terrorism. "Damaging the environment and public or private facilities, and endangering natural resources" is equally an act of terror, as are "murder and banditry." They, however, described acts by the Palestinians against the Israeli occupation as a form of jihad and legitimate self-defense and called for a joint effort to counter anti-Islamic campaigns.

Muslim scholars like to pick and choose which instances of terrorism they will consider terrorism.
