The very first town founded by the Spanish "way back when" actually bears my surname ~ that's where Philippine history began ~ when someone could write the stuff down. But that's neither here nor there. Admiral Morrison's reports reflect that Magellan (McWallace) knew that the world had been circumnavigated when one of his crew encountered a Philippino gentleman in a dugout who knew his same language.

Moslem traders had already reached the Southern Philippines by that time. Christianity arrived with McWallace to a place where Islam already existed. I think that dates the beginning of the Moro Insurrection.

Progress in the Arab speaking portions of the areas where Islam was dominant stopped about 1000 years ago when the Turks began taking over!

On the other hand, Christianity DID ARRIVE in the Philippines via military conquest.

DUH! Murdering infidels (particularly Jews) is not "terrorism" to a Mohammedan. Only when the infidels fight back is it "terrorism."

Thank you Mr. Mahdi. Inasmuch as I posited no such equivalency, I merely pointed out that Islam arrived in the Philippines with Moslem traders from the South before McWallace. Christianity, on the other hand, arrived at the tip of a sword the day McWallace landed! Certainly in any discussion of "tip of sword" proselytizing, it is fair to compare and contrast the methodologies if not the beliefs, eh?!

Unfortunately the poor deluded Philipinos who had already adopted Islam did not immediately gravitate to the undoubtedly superior Christianity of their conquerors.

That's why Lapu Lapu had to begin the struggle against the European invaders and why McWallace had to die.

Now, regarding TODAY, in the Philippines, it is all a result of history, and that's been just one thing after the other.

Do you have a solution? Might we, for example, figure out why the Islamist terrorists find it so alarmingly easy to disappear in the midst of the existing, but otherwise peaceful, traditional Moslem community? Or, will it be necessary for the Christians to, in the end, exterminate the Moslems and their Islamist minority?

Have absolutely no idea where you get that "religion of peace" business. Islam means "submission to God". A Moslem is a person who submits his will totally to the will of God.

For the most part Moslems are Calvanists. I am not a Calvanist. Howver, the non-Moslem folks in the Philippines would probably get along better with the Moros if they all became Southern Baptists, or maybe even Methodists. Actually, I'm still surprised that we didn't impose such a choice on them back when we had the opportunity.

BTW, your denial of the utility, or even the existence, of the past, indicates that you are an antinomianist. Islamists argue that the doctrine of antinomianism is valid when on Jihad.

Click here and never forget the face of Islam and what it wants for you infidels. An historical comparison that comes to mind is the Thugee cult of India. The typical Thug was, apart from from the murders he committed, a good citizen and model husband devoted to his family. Yet they made travel in India difficult for over three hundred years.

Have you ever heard of the Thugee Cult? If they somehow made a resurgence here, would you want them banned, or at least watched? I think hypertolerance can get us killed. Now, I don't believe there is an exact corollary between iSLAM and Thugeeism, but there is a similarity, at least in their propensity to murder other religious people when they can get away with it:

Kali inspired the cult of Thagna (or Thugee). The Cultists (Thugs) made it their sacred duty to waylay innocent travelers and strangle them to death with knotted cloths.

The word 'thagna' means to deceive and the Thugs lived in the community as respected and orderly citizens. They were well liked, prominent men who led double lives. (The Koran gives Muslims the right to lie if it is to deceive infidels.)

What started as a serious religious attitude later became a method of personal gain for the unscrupulous. The cult was especially active during early Victorian days in India although the British tried their best to suppress the murderous side of it.

Kali stands for energy, both creative and destructive. Her cult is linked to Tantric practices (which aim to enable men to rise above their sexual nature by gaining full control over themselves). In her positive aspect Kali is named Durga, Kumari or Parvati. The city of Calcutta was named after her.

If you are a good Moslem, meaning the one that keeps the teaching of Islam (Islam of the past 30 yeas?), then by definition, you are a killer, a liar, a hater, a deceitful, a person full of rage, a male chauvinist

Religions, in general, is similar to sport fans who belong to a certain club. They cheer that club, they wish the opponent club to fail, they wish to convert as many fans as possible to their side, they like their side, and hate the other, they allow for their side to make mistakes, and cry foul if the opposing team comes anywhere near their players.

You would never find a football coach telling his team let us face it guys, you stink, our system stink, and the opponents are the best in everything! The players, and the fans would abandon him, and he will have no job. That is the same thing with priests, rabbis, mullahs. Most of the time these religious leaders honestly believe that their way is the best, and the other religions are just full of it.

The civilized world had to deal with the “holy books” that actually can be used to insight hate, and xenophobia between people. The world can count many slaughters and wars that was based on the xenophobic zealots of one religion or the other. Eventually, the civilized world started teaching coexistence, and tolerance of others. On the other hand, Islam, in the past 30 years, found a new source of funds, and ideologies that made it go back to the barbaric age of incitement of hate. The new mullah government of Iran put the entire country resources under the control of the fanatic Islamists. In addition, the post-energy crises Saudi Arabians, found themselves flush with billions of petrodollars, and were obligated to channel lots of money into a worldwide fanatic Islamic movement. The Saudis also recruited much public relation heavy weight that protected their image from the wrath of the American public. If their was justice in this world, these Saudi advisors and defendants/consultants in Washington would all be hanged in a public square for treason.

Given the above background, the west disregarded that orchestrated hate and plots against us. They thought of these guys as a bunch of backward ragheads. Well, they are, but they are plotting to kill you, Mr. stupid Anglo-Saxon! If you are not going to learn the whole story, you will simply going to burry your head in the sand, and have your butt up in the air, in the open for your enemy to have their way with you.

Unfortunately, we in the west are cursed with this new thing called Political Correctness! We must respect other people religions, even if it teaches them to kill us! We cannot criticize any holy book! These books are “HOLY”, you know!

At this juncture of this world history, it would be advisable if the religion leaders get together one day, and tell the rest of us: Guys, you know you can support your club without killing the opponents! Religions are useful in helping people behave nicely toward each others, and should not be abused to incite hate. Good old Voltair made a comment one time about the poor people: I am glad the peasants believe in God, if they did not fear punishment in the hereafter, they would kill us, and steal our money.

Out of 38 violant troubled areas in the world, 36 are Moslem instigated!!!!

The Saudi article "Terrorism Is Alien to Islam" is a good start. If all Moslem leaders, and Moslem media would preach peace and tolerance, then the Moslem population may learn to forget the hate and militancy as a way to get their way.

A human generation is generally thirty years. So your short list has been American for 450 years?!?!?! Wow! Just how did they accomplish this? To have been American for fifteen generations they would have to all had babies at about fifteen years old and none older than that. Try the math next time before making outlandish statements that you expect people to consider truthful. Are you taking that line in the Koran too seriously that says a muslim can lie to infidels?
