Yes I know That Bush did not Land the aircraft.
He is C&C that right there make it An appropriate act
The only bad thing was. Giveing all the troops on board. The extra work. After a long deployment getting the ship shipshape.
Ill bet all the chiefs & Zeros were freaking when they heard the C&C was coming. Flight deck scrub down, uniform inspections, aircraft washing & so on. Some thing never change. ( but on the other hand I keep hearing all about the Hi-Tech Navy those computerized buffers & mops must be neat! and no Sailors power needed ;)
LOL What they should be asking is how much extra the Navy spend on paint & Jerseys ;)

I always looked forward to the Admiral visiting my submarine. I may have had to scrub the sub a bit more but I knew that I would be getting steak and lobster and ice cream sundaes for lunch or dinner.

I was actually suprised that the sailors on the Lincoln were not required to be in dress uniforms for the speach, they were all in dungarees and khakis. As far as polishing the ship goes, the Lincoln has a reputation for being fanatic about keeping the ship spotless, they didn't do much out of the ordinary.

I doubt seriously that there was a huge "field day".
For this ship to be at sea for over 10 months was enough.
I believe the captain and officers did not enforce any additional details other than regular work day duties.

Cost less than Bubbas Starr investigations for having raped and "cigared" so many young girls.
Cost less than stopping traffic at LAX so Bubba get get a haircut by Christophe.

I wonder how much securing the area, the airspace, and the motorcade route was, seeing as the area wasn't secured before, and the parkinglot had all those cars in it.

Well, they didn't care, so why should you? The event highlighted the record they set, they got a chance to not be anonymous. It was a great tribute to them, and if Bush's re-election is kickstarted by it, too bad for the puny Democrats.

Consider it FReeped, QTL.
Interesting to note that whoever wrote the poll is probably on our side:
What do you think of Bush's jet landing?
A waste of taxpayer money
A political move
An appropriate act
They split the negative responses by providing two negative options, while anyone who views the president's actions positively will call it an appropriate act.
