Sheriff's task force to search cars in Milwaukee for guns

Clarke is a hero. The people of Milwaukee's central city are prisoners in their own homes, and Art Jones has done nothing about it except level charges of racism at anybody who asks him to do something about it.

In an appearance on Charlie Sykes' show on WTMJ this morning, Clarke responded to the Chief's assertion that crime is down by reading a list of all the shootings in Milwaukee in the last two weeks.

It took him several minutes.

The next time the NAACP opens their mouths about gun violence, they should be asked about Art Jones and David Clarke.

Also, since the 14th amendment secured jurisdiction of the U.S. Constitution within the boundaries of a state, Amendment II, makes it clear there can be no such thing as an "illegal gun(s)."

I would suspect that you believe in the Darwin theory survival of the strongest. Just do not disarm the honest american citizens so they can bring a gun to a gun fight.

In other words, the officer asks, "will you give me consent to search your car, or should I arrest you on trumped-up driving charges and use that as an excuse to search your car?"

For those outside of Milwaukee, Clarke is the new conservative Afro-American Sheriff of Milwaukee County who managed to escape the Milwaukee PD as a former Captain. Clarke is a dedicated serious and effective career law enforcement offical.

MPD Chief Arthur Jones is a clueless race-baiting buffon who dismantled the gang crimes unit, called off drug raids in progress and banned police leather jackets as being too confrontaional to the populace.

Mayor Johnny "The "Zero" Norquist had to settle out of court after banging a City Hall employee while his enviro-whacko wife beamed support and even had another child with him after the scandal.

Gangs of youths "wilding" attacked people leaving the popular "Summerfest" as MPD stood inside the festival and refused to intervene due to orders from Jones.

A sixteen-year old gang banger makes a yuppie mom kneel down and then shoots her (fatally) in the face with a twelve gauge. While the mother's young daughter watches.

Chief Arthur Jones cites a reduction in violence (using flawed FBI statistics) in Milwaukee and will sue the city on racial grounds if he is not awarded a new contract.

No...but they now bring(or threaten to bring) canine units to the scene to let them snif around your vehicle. If one of the dogs "alerts" the police will proceed to search on "probable cause". The handler determines what an "alert" is.

I would like to see a law passed requiring police officers to record indeliby, before seeking consent for any search, the nature of the search, the probable cause justifying such a search, and all outstanding issues to be cited. The intended target of the search should be informed of all of these. Cooperation with a search should not allow any cited charges to be dropped, nor should an officer be able to add charges if a search is refused, unless the officer can make a reasonable case that he had no way of knowing about the to-be-cited conduct prior to the search request.

I saw on that stupid Sheriff John Bonnel Wildest Police Chase video show where a trooper asked a motorist if he had any guns, bombs or nuclear devices in the motorists car.

The motorist laughed at the Sheriffs suggestion and Bonnel solemnly declared on the air that BECAUSE THE MOTORIST LAUGHED HE MUST HAVE BEEN UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE OFFICER'S SUGGESTION and therefor THAT WAS ALL THE PROBABLE CAUSE NEEDED TO DO A WARRANTLESS SEACH.

Right on national television and who really cares until it happens to them!

How many times does this need to be repeated:

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER consent to vehicular searches.

If they've got probable cause, they'll search your vehicle without your consent. If they don't, they'll ask as part of a fishing expedition. No good thing can ever come from a consented vehicular search. They'll never find anything to give you a medal for, but it doesn't take much to put you away.

That K-9 trick only works if the dogs on within about 10 minutes. The old "Am I free to go or have you placed me under arrest?" question tends to make them nervous.

If they hold you and then bring a dog unit, it is unlawful arrest. File suit.
