--should prove interesting. After all, the Navy just barely got over bringing back a battleship, the Army still wanted an artillery piece that can't be transported by air and the Air Force is about thirty years late on unmanned aircraft--

Yes -- exactly! They saved the best sentence for the very end.

I hope to be joining one of the new, smaller, light National Guard infantry companies as a 1LT within 2-3 weeks. And I think this Army transformation is exciting and smart.

There will always be a need for very heavy forces to handle certain situations, but we'll need a lot less of them in the future.
