Well this pretty much sums up the "He's an idiot. He's arrogant too" line of logic from a few weeks back. (OK, maybe calling that a line of logic is an oversimplification)

Personally I like that a bunch of old Generals at the Pentagon lost a p*ssing contest. They fired their best shots through the NY Times, and in the end they lost as big as the Ba'ath party and Taliban.

Personally, I think Rumsfeld wrestles bears or something. He just takes on these tasks (the war against a non-standing army, the corruption at the Pentagon, THE PRESS) that no ones thinks are winnable, and he wins. And wins quick.
