I finally refound this and read it.A thoughtful piece and I didn't know Iraqis and Kurds lived together in the North. One cannot demand "English" names for immigrants here nor forbid speaking their native tongue. It is imperative to teach the predominate language(English) in school so the immigrant may succeed. I just read the Turkish take on US relations. I think perhaps both nations have learned some lessons.I've always thought a Republic such as we have with more autonomy for the Kurds is the answer.Pure democracies are mob rule! My 'placemarker' got a private funny reply.I'm pinging you to a thread.
