Live Thread: 1st, full Broadcast of DEM PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE DEBATE now on C-SPAN [6:30pm EST]
Posted on 05/04/2003 3:49:37 PM PDT by summer
Interesting debate. So far Kerry has been accused by one Dem of hating gays, and Dean was attacked for wanting to make America a 2nd rate military power. ...

Al Sharpton just said something to the effect of this: 'Because I was stabbed, I think all guns should be regulated at the federal level.'

Yeap. I'm reading CNN.COM coverage of the debate and apparently, Sharpton was the only candidate who consides licensing+registration a good idea... this is gonna piss off DU ;-)

Yeah, Lieberman is the one who wants those military and "swing" conservative votes; the only problem for him is he will never win the Dem primary.

The 'debate' was moved ahead until after the weekly Sabbath had ended in respect for Senator Leiberman.
Lieberman is now quoting the Bible
Now Sharpton is quoting the Bible. These are the same folks, along with their Leftists hoardes, who continually rail about religion in public places.
Of course, their recitations from the Good Book are about as genuine as Rapin' Bill's when he brandished his oversized photo-op Bible.

Sharpton on gun registration: "I was the victim of a stabbing, so yes, I think guns should be registered." You just can't make this stuff up.

I like it when Graham speaks because he always talks about how he is very qualified because he was a two-term gov of FL, the 4th largest stae -- and I think that DOES count. I think it will certainly count in a big way if Gov Jeb Bush ever runs for president in 2008. But, Dem voters sometimes seem to be too stupid in the primaries and so may never go for Graham, who is the one candidate I think could put up a real race in FL.
