[history]
WASHINGTON -- Newt Gingrich, whose familiar shock of white hair has lately resurfaced on TV screens, knows he's supposed to keep quiet now. Bush administration officials and his own advisers are telling him to stop peddling his inconvenient opinions.
But just days after his attack on the State Department prompted a White House rebuke, Gingrich answers his phone and can't resist offering a new blast, this time comparing a deputy secretary of state to a ''squid blowing out ink to hide from predators.''

I happen to like Gingrich, and dislike the Boston Globe.
I actually think that this "news" is really an editorial diasguised as news.
I also happen to think that the Liberals are being played once again, and I should probably just sit back and watch rather than give it all away.
This Bush Administration is amazing.
I love them.

The President sent Powell to Damascus. I think there is where he blamed the wrong guy.The State Dept needs reform and some more retirements.(I stayed up nights to watch the first days of the House under go the Republican change under Newt.)He did a lot of good but also disappointed me in the end.

Regardless of what they say the Republican Party misses and needs Gingrich. Unfortunately so to speak if he were a Liberal or Democrat everyone would be willing to overlook his marital problems.
I dont condone them but I do say no Democrat Liberal or reporter should ever be able to raise questions about them.
The :Mainstream Media" is now on Bill Bennett about gambling but overlooks the lies of Hillary and the Rapes of Bill.
To bad the terrorist didnt leave their mark on our Mainstream Propaganda Machines instead of the WTC.Then they could have gone over and offered to be human shields or maybe they could have been used as fertilizer!

Bomb throwing is a hard habit to completely give up. And Newt Gingrich built his reputation tihis way. That said, the State Department is a target-rich environment, and most of Newt's criticism of Colin Powell is that the pruning and realignment of the holdovers from the regime of the "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001", has not proceeded as was the case in the Department of Defense. There are a lot of "embeds" still in policy positions at State, which hamper our dealings out in the real world, and occasionally have State and Defense on the opposite sides of an issue. Not because either Powell or Rumsfeld have a personal enmity, but because sometimes Powell is counfounded by his own support staff.

"In public, Gingrich has been vilified in a manner rarely seen in Washington. One State Department official called him ''an idiot,'' and another, Deputy Secretary of State Richard L. Armitage, said: ''It's clear Mr. Gingrich is off his meds and out of therapy.'' ....."
Exactly his point. He never accused Powell of failure, but rather the clinton holdeover lifers in the State Department. Time to terminate employment for these unidentified sources - they need a job in Harlem, cleaning up after clinton at his new office.

Newt is a good strategist and should be working behind the scenes more than being a lightning rod for the Left to beat up on.

He's an amazing person and we need him NOW!

FYI: I just googled up A.B. Stoddard, the so-called journalist on this piece.
Every single article he's written (none of which are opinion pieces) is far far left leaning.
So there you go.
Question the messenger.

I loved to read him and he brought great ideas to the table. He is a bomb thrower! I'll never forget the heady days after winning the house.

Gingrich, Livingstone, Hyde . . . remember the days when the Adulterer's Club ran the GOP Party Leadership? And Adulterer-in-Chief Clinton had a seventy percent approval rating?
Now Republicans are in the ascendancy and Clinton is off the map. Gingrich is not as bright as he thinks he is. Or as honorable.

The President sent Powell to Damascus. There is no substitute for a good old face to face meeting if you want to convey a message that you would never put in writing. Also, it let's you glean information about current intentions, attitudes, and nuances that may not be readily apparent by exchanging diplomatic letters.

This piece has the markings of Bill Krystol and A. Huffington. Living on the West Coast I was able to watch Newt night after night on CSpam wax eloquent to a empty chamber, the modern Town Crier...

New findings indicate feces may be important method of spreading SARS.
Stop listening to Gingrich.
