Thanks for posting the great photos.
They remind me of two other memorable scenes
1. When we got our aircrew back from China (in those old days before 9-11),
I'll never forget one little girl who broke away from Mom and her siblings to
run forward to her father and say a heart-felt "Daddy!".
Even the CBS news reporter could be heard over his open microphone to involuntary
say something like "Oh..wow..." in response to the scene.
2. Long ago (maybe 1999?) I think the Associated Press published a bunch of
their memorable photos of the Twentieth Century...and freeper "Joe Montana" posted them.
There was one of a wife (IIRC) embracing her husband returning from Vietnam...
minus most of one of his legs.
I always have prayed things turned out well for them...

These threads need a "make sure eyes are not over keyboard or other electrical
appliance before viewing".
No matter what kind of a curmuddgeon a person is the rest of the time.

Welcome Home US Military Men and Women!
All the shots of the beautiful offspring reminds me of General Patton's wish
that the triumphant Americans would go home and make copies of themselves.
Looks like some of these good folks have already taken the General's request to heart!

Just beautiful!
To: JustPiper
It makes you appreciate the sacrifice just that much more. Look at those beautiful families. Do you realize how fortunate we are that men and women like this are willing to give so much to this country?
To: JustPiper
Indeed! What a thrill for them and for us!
Did you guys see how cute all the little kiddies are in these photos? They're all adorable kids.
And the guys are mighty fine in those threads!
...sucker for a man in the armed forces!
Wooo Hooo!
