CROWD NEEDED FOR SIGNATURE TURN IN EVENT
We need your help!
This Monday, May 5, at 12:00 Noon we will be holding a major news media event – the submission of over 100,000 Recall Gray Davis signatures. This will officially begin the count and verification of recall signatures by the County Elections Offices as directed by the Secretary of State.
WE NEED TO HAVE A MASSIVE CROWD PRESENT.
This means we will need supporters from throughout Northern California to make the sacrifice and show up for this historic event.
The two leaders of the recall effort, The Honorable Howard Kaloogian and People’s Advocate CEO, Ted Costa, will be leading the press conference.
Never before in California history have enough signatures been submitted to the County Elections Offices to initiate verification of recall signatures for any statewide office, let alone Governor.
It is a testament to your hard work and perseverance, in spite of the many nay-sayers in the establishment, that we have reached this point.
And on Monday we will announce this to the world. If we do not have a giant crowd in attendance, though, our effort will look weak.
We apologize profusely for not providing you with advance notice. However, the approval for location of the event came just ten minutes ago and our staff has rushed into high gear to put out the announcement of this historic event.
PLEASE – bring as many neighbors, friends and family members as you can.
PLEASE – wear your Recall Gray Davis T-Shirts. Bring signs! Pass on word of this effort via email and post a message on discussion chat boards. Call your friends. Announce this significant event at Church.
We need an all-out around-the-clock effort this weekend to spread the word and recruit people to attend this historic event.
The press conference and gathering will take place this Monday at 12:00 Noon at the Capitol fountain – in front of the State Capitol on the West Side (10 th street side between the State Treasurer’s Building and the State Supreme Court/Library Building).

Monday 12:00 Noon PRESS CONFERENCE
WHAT: Press Conference for turn in of over 100,000 signatures calling for Recall of Governor Gray Davis. This turn-in triggers the official counting and verification of the recall petitions by the County Elections Divisions as directed by the Secretary of State.
This is the first time in California history that enough signatures will be turned in to begin an official count and verification process of signatures for the recall of ANY statewide elected official.
WHO: The Honorable Howard Kaloogian, Chairman, Recall Gray Davis Committee. Ted Costa, Official Proponent who submitted the Recall Petition.
WHERE: Capitol Fountain – in front of State Capitol building (west side) between the California State Treasurer and California Supreme Court buildings.
WHEN: Monday, May 5, 2003. 12:00 Noon.
