A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 5/1/03

President Bush and First Lady Laura began the day in a ceremony honoring the National Day of Prayer. Bush then headed to San Diego where he co-piloted a Navy Viking jet and landed on the USS Abraham Lincoln, a truly historic moment for American Presidents and our country. The President then spoke to the nation saying that major combat operations in Iraq are over. Bush also took the opportunity to once again thank the men and women of our military. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Chris Matthews evidentally asked today the outrageously rhetorical question of which blonde Clinton would rather sleep with--Ann Coulter or Hillary.
The man is appalling in his lack of frontal lobe inhibition.
But he did say he was totally wrong on the war with Iraq and thought it turned out terrific despite his pronouncements to the contrary prior to the war.
Wonder how long before he picks up some lib line talking points to dis the war in order to promote the Dems in 04.

ODC--I was thinking you were Navy!! Sorry! I didnt' realize you were Air National Guard. I LOVE airplanes (in fact I wear a little silver 747 around my neck everyday).
One of the biggest thrills in my life was seeing an F117, a F18Superhornet (or is it F18A Superhornet? Isn't there an A in there? or am I just really stupid?) and the Blue Angels last summer. After seeing that, I thought "all we need to do is have an airshow in all our enemy countries and they'll be scared sh**less and not give us anymore problems!" LOL!
One of the best moments that convinced me of that was during the Blue Angels--4 of them were messing around in front of us, so we are keeping our eyes on them and then ZOOM!!!!!! Here comes one from behind the crowd and came in really low over us and strangely enough you didn't hear him until he was ON YOU. Scared the living hell out of the WHOLE CROWD---we ducked! LOL!!!!!!!!!! Ducked! Like he was anywhere near our heads- shows you the psychological impact of those bad boys.
OH, and your profile page put a lump in my throat.

I have tomorrow all figured out....I'm just going to laugh at him WHEN he calls back. I figure he will, as he was most tenacious tonight...
Anyway, I'm going to laugh at him and say "You mean people still DO THIS?????"
And take the phone off the hook again.

Now you STOP that, young lady!

I only saw it on the net
here. I don't have a TV set, but just seeing this on the small player within the computer screen was compelling enough. Finally we have our country back.

I watched Matthews the night that Gore finally gave his concession speech after the Supreme Court ruling. He literally had tears running down his cheeks ..... said, quite ruefully, that it was the best speech that Gore had ever made and that if we had seen that Gore during the campaign, the election would not have been close (meaning, from his viewpoint, that Gore would have won hands down). I have never watched Chrissy again since then. It was a totally disgusting display. He was really blubbering that Gore had lost. His hero-worship of The Tree could not be hidden that night, nor his regret that "his" man lost.

Don't they gets their kicks from eliciting a reaction...any reaction?
At least that's what I remember hearing as advice, to just hang up and give them no feedback whatever.
The hardest behavior to extinquish is intermittently rewarded behavior. That's a scientific fact.
To: Brad's Gramma
Had a guy call here once.. He was saying all manner of nasty things..
Talked about what he was doing to get himself excited..
I said "Well, if you're having such a good time already, what the HELL do you need ME for?"
He didn't call back.
