Great shot..thanks much from those of us who didn't have a chance to grab one and post it. BTW, has anyone said which "wire" (arresting cable) was snagged by Bush's S-3? As I recall, all Navy pilots are graded on their "traps," including the wire grabbed by your tailhook. I know we've got more than a few former Navy aviation types on FR; just wondering how you'd grade the pilot's landing. And one more thing: has the Navy released any info on the aircraft commander who flew President Bush to the carrier? Just guessing, but I'd say he has 2,000+ hours in the jet, with experience as an S-3 instructor pilot and flight examiner, to boot. This is a helluva long way from Michael Dukakis' infamous ride in that tank....

Translation - Fair pass. Little low, flat in the middle, little nose down in close, flat at the ramp, 4-wire. Now, knowing that our CINC was aboard, the LSO's probably gave the PIC (pilot-in-command) an OK pass.

I'm monitoring the joy and pride over President Bush while listening to Rush play Hillary's shriekingly harsh rants on the radio.....talk about oppposite universes colliding--LOL!
