Sounds like nobody knew Condi was out there! At least nobody in the press bothered to tell us!

Arne posted,
Did you catch the comment Duke Cunningham just made about President Bush on Buchanan-Press? "I'd fly on George W. Bush's wing into hell and know he'd get me back alive." Did Patty and his best buddy, Press, pass gas, moan and fill their depends when the Duke made that statement?

I was working during the landing, but have now lived the event vicariously through this thread.
Hiya, Arne! Great posts, as usual.

Not only ACE, but the FIRST Ace of the Vietnam War. Cunningham was the only American to shoot down three MiGs in one day. He would receive the Navy Cross for his heroism and superior airmanship on this day.
So for Cunningham to say that he'd "fly on George W. Bush's wing into hell and know he'd get me back alive." is indeed TALL praise.
To: Inspectorette
Send him the picture posted in 1581 along with the one of Condi. Maybe that will help.

Please excuse this commercial break.
Folks...I know this is off topic, but one of the best ways we can show our appreciation and say THANK YOU to President George W. Bush is to give him a 60+ GOP Senate in 2004.
Give to the Senate National Committee if you can. Volunteer with the GOP parties in your states. We MUST achieve this in order to speed up the 'undoing' of the 8 years of Clinton corruption.

"At least nobody in the press bothered to tell us!" That's what I was thinking as I posted to you. Then I read the rest of the thread, and other's remarks about not knowing it. I'm just wondering how many more surprises we are in for tonight. There has been very little in pre-release about the President's speech tonight. Boy, I can't wait!
To: MizSterious
poor things say they don't have such nifty props for their campaign ads....LOL! Poor dims! They could always pull a Mike Dukakis!

"Wouldn't it be great if GWB had UBL's head in his flight bag and produced it for the cameras tonight. At the end of the speech, he shoots it of the deck with the cat then the carrier's props makes minced meat of it to chum the Pacific."
I like the way you think. When UBL is found there is definitely some kind of "head in a box" or "head on a stake" type deal that needs to be done. Maybe we could drop it on Mecca

C-SPAN, which took a very hard Left turn about 10 years ago, is no longer a reliable source for catching replays of Presidential events. At least not when the President is a conservative Republican. I waited in vain last night for C-SPAN to show a replay of yesterday's Amber Alert bill signing ceremony.

I hope he can feel them - I want him to. The saddest part of the Glenn Beck Rally here was when he quoted 41 as saying that Dubya felt the country praying for him after 9/11/01... and then 41 got teary-eyed as he told Glenn that "My son also felt it when America *stopped* praying for him." I bawled like a freakin' baby after that rally...
Oh my gosh. I hope that he doesn't think that America has really stopped praying for him. Granted some have, but there are still many of us out here praying even more fervantly for him. This just broke my heart when I read that.

He's got such a cute little smirk in that old photo! LOL I was so mad when libs and mediots started in on his "smirk" a couple of years ago, and he felt compelled to get rid of it. It was just a great little smile, and they turned into a smirk. Made me mad.

Wail! No REPLAY???
Off topic, my husband just called and is describing the natural gas explosion that just occured a mile from my house in Auburn. (Save the cats!)
No terrorism, just an idiot backhoe driver.

You know I had heard from a certain source that the day Bin Laden and gang bombed the World Trade Center, Bush was pissed enought to want to fly a plane and get him and his gang himself. Now I believe it lol.

This just broke my heart when I read that. It broke my heart when I heard Glenn telling about how sad Bush SR was when he told him that.
This conversation took place right before the first anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Watching Dubya since then, it looks like he can tell we're still with him...

Remember that Muslim U.S. soldier who shot his officers in Kuwait just before the Iraq war started? Enough said.
