The President's finest moment IMHO was the moment he grabbed that bullhorn and rallied a shaken nation to the fight! ITA. Totally unscripted and so moving.

I know I never will. I came home from work early just to watch this and the landing was cool, but the scene of President Bush getting out of the S-B3 in that jump suit and mingling with our finest.
Great day indeed

Wow - you're really making me miss it. It's only a 4 1/2 hour drive from us (well, depending on the traffic on the 405 in LA), but since the kids got transferred from Camp Pendleton, we haven't gone down there very much.
They're going to Okinawa for three years in June - they're hoping to get transferred back to Camp P. when they return.

Did you catch the comment Duke Cunningham just made about President Bush on Buchanan-Press? "I'd fly on George W. Bush's wing into hell and know he'd get me back alive."
That's not just an empty platitude from some ham 'n egger. That's alpha male Duke, Naval Ace and Top Gun legend.
Being a Bush-bot is such a burden.

He should have dropped by here - he could *feel* the love. :-) I'd like to think that he does drop by here once in a while - maybe somebody back at the WH will bookmark this thread for him.

Isn't it????
It's pretty quiet today around here; their nemisis is getting the recognition he deserves!

Yeah, that's the guy. Knucklehead.
Might be fun to fly back down for a visit and take in a ball game! Now that we don't live there anymore we can come down and do all the touristy things we didn't do when we lived there!

It should be a federal crime tampering with the votes. In a sense, if the dims tried to "accidentally lose" the military votes, that would be like denying them their right to vote and free speech and everything.
These people risk their lives for our country, and tampering with their vote in any way is a disgrace.

Somebody on another thread posted a link that tells what the various colors of jackets mean.
link
The Pres was wearing a white jacket and white helmet, so that designates:
Air Transfer Officers (ATO) - Medical Personnel - Visitors / VIPs

I'll have to start working on Mr. Inspectorette - somehow, I don't think it'll take too much convincing :-)
Reluctantly have to leave this thread for now - havta pack up and head home for the day. Hope to be back later.
Howlin, honey - are you gonna start a new Live Thread for the President's speech tonight, or are you just going to keep this one running?
