A Simple Request - Put My Son's Name on a Bomb
E-Mail

Posted on 04/30/2003 9:01:32 PM PDT by SAMWolf

One of my family friends who is a Vietnam Veteran and Retired New York City Police Department Sergeant lost his son on 9/11 at the WTC. Last week he contacted the Marines requesting his son's name (Jason Sekzer) be written on one of the bombs we drop on Baghdad. To his surprise, Will received the following e-mail and 3 photos from Major Joe Boehm stationed in Kuwait. Gotta love our troops.....

Jeff

I don't know about everyone else, but it sure is a "feel good" story for me.

In honor of Jason Sekzer

To the guys who passed this request along, to the guy who painted his name on that JDAM, you did good! I think it's so special that you honored this Dad's request "even though business is booming". LOL!

I lost a friend, Angie Houtz, in the Pentagon. Wish I'd thought to ask for this in her honor. She was in the Navy IP where 8 Navy Intel folks died.

A MOAB is big enough to have all of the names of the WTC,Pentagon victims AND the people killed on the airplanes. I would love to see that baby dropped on Saudi Arabia.

>>>The mission and the weapon were 100% successful. Let me know if there is any more I can do. It's my honor and pleasure. Regards. Semper Fi Major Joe Boehm<<<

American 'Can Do' Spirit - Alive and Well!!! Semper Fi to Maj. Boehm and God Bless Jason Sekzer.

My next prayer is for the Iraqis....Lord help them to understand the opportunity we have brought them, and to make the most of it. Help the enlightened to understand they must destroy those of their community that oppose freedom and opportunity for all to prosper in a new society.

Daisy Cutter style... Syria,West Bank, and one strategically placed in Africa to get Mugabe,Mbeki,Winnie Mandela and the rest of the communist riffraff. Whoops! My bad... I forgot Sudan... well hey now. They need a MOAB all their own.

I think memorial bombs in honor of our war dead are a good idea. It is a honor for the living to see their family even in death making victory. There is no shame in having a loved one die for love of God,country, and HONOR.

How is that company (what's left) doing? I was listening to christian radio and heard Lutnick(?) give the most stirring speech about the life of one of his executives, a Haitian immigrant. The executive's wife was pregnant :-( and he was giving this speech at the man's church.

If you can Sam, please email this thread to the person who emailed you this story.

The significance of this action by all those on the "To" list in the email thread is apparent to those who requested it, but they should also know that to many of us, anonymous as we are, who have our own mundane jobs in New York City, little things like this make walking past "ground zero" that much more tolerable knowing that there are brave men and women who are working to ensure that such a travesty doesn't occur again.

That's a lot of garbage indeed if you start from the top of Africa and work your way down... I am just glad the Iraq situation turned out the way it did. Too bad the libs are getting so much acid reflux over it. Hey it's good for the economy. The purple pill will be flying off the shelves.
