Why was Ron Paul disinvited from Hannity and Colmes tonight?
Congressman Ron Paul made a very convincing case Wednesday morning on Fox and Friends as to why the USA should withdraw from the UN.
Was he too effective in making the case?
Did Colin Powell complain and bring pressure on the White House and the Fox News Channel to keep him off the airwaves in an attempt to cool off this very appealing and justified campaign to get the US out of the UN?

Was he too effective in making the case? The US is not going to leave the UN. Nobody but the most isolated isolationist puts any stock in this campaign.
Like much of what Paul proposes, it is just so much wheel-spinning.

Then whats the harm in having him appear. I mean, they want Jackson to appear, and he has ZERO crediability.
Ron Paul may not get us out of the UN on this try, but he could move the ball forward- if the Establishment types running both parties would let him on TV.

Next best thing is to remove it from the United States. Next stop Ottawa, or Brussells, or Khartoum, or Capetown- anywhere.

That's what some naysayers said when we pulled out of the League of Nations.
But why not either a new international alliance, or a wholesale restructuring of the UN the way it exists today? Why should "over the hill nations" like France and Russia have veto power in the UN Security Council?
Why should the votes of outlaw, dictatorial, and terrorist regimes such as Cuba, the Sudan, Libya etc count the same as peaceful nations such as Spain, Italy, or Oman?
Why should the USA waste any time or pay any attention to complaints dictators have about America?
Why should we feel obligated to ask the UN for permission to protect our internal national security before taking unilateral defensive measures?
We ditched the League of Nations when it became obvious that it was ineffective and harmful to our national interest; now is the time to do the same to the United Nations.

Paul opposed the war in Iraq. Odd considering the text of his speech. Check it out: Paul Speech

The UN is irrelevant. Get with the program.

Lame theory. There's no conspiracy against Paul. I don't think Colin Powell nor any other politician who support staying in the U.N. really worry much about Paul. BTW I saw it and he made a good case. But it's going nowhere. But Paul should keep it up. The U.N. is a friggin joke.

The reason he was cancelled may not be sinister at all you know! There may be a good reason, like he is sick, or had something else to do or something! :-)

The UN is a corrupted, rusting dinosaur from the 20th Century and needs to be dissolved.
The wheel has turned. Time for them to go.

Only an act of God will remove the UN. The good news, the final act of fallen man on this earth will involve so many acts of God, it is futile to try and describe it. All I can say is you won't have to wait much longer for the "greatest show in the universe" to begin. Until then, go see X2, Matrix Reload, or Bruce Almighty, to get a cheap Hollywood imitation of what will occur on a worldwide level.

If he got a conservative challenger, he would likely lose his seat. Actually the Republican party funded a Democrat to run against him when he returned to Congress from his medical practice. He won anyway.
