This just proves that the war was a conspiracy designed to improve Fox's ratings. Heck Bush has even get that cousin working over at Fox. Connect the dots....

and what appears to be a local favorite, Fox. They like it, people here say, because it has been the most supportive of the war. That's for public consumption.
Iraqi men like FOXNEWS because of, well, the foxes.

His friend, Abbas Ali, concurs. "We used to go to sleep at 10 p.m. Now we stay up until 4 or 5 a.m. because we can't get enough." Still desperate for war news, they tune to CNN, BBC, and what appears to be a local favorite, Fox. They like it, people here say, because it has been the most supportive of the war.For many here, the only foreign channels they can understand are in Arabic, and they are deeply resentful of the most prominent one, Qatar-based Al-Jazeera.
They must be watching a lot of Kuwait TV, too. Wouldn't that be funny, if there were more people watching Kuwaiti TV in Iraq than in Kuwait?

a new newspaper began its first run on Tuesday. The offices of what was the state-run Al-Iraq newspaper are being used to put out a new daily called Al-Ittihad, meaning unity. But that paper - as well as the radio, television, and newspaper outlets here in Kirkuk - are all being sponsored by one Kurdish political party, the PUK... I consider this GREAT news. The Kurds actually have little experience with democracy, and if they help to serve as a model for the rest of the Iraqis and to get them started, it will be a great help to the movement. The other major group with experience is the ex-patriots who return to Iraq, but they may have more difficulty at first.
Again, I say, this is great news, and thanks for the post.

Someone could make the big bucks if they knew arabic and how to custom program a browser. Here's the idea, you create an Arabic browser that lets somebody browse the web for a given lenght of time upon the entry of some code. You then sell the necessary stuff to Iraqi Hotels and resturants so that their patrons can surf the net cheaply , even free if they are spending enough money on other things.
Cheap internet access for the millions of information starved. A sure winner.

The Iraqis are well on their way to democracy if they're watching FOX.

It'd be great if high speed internet lines were rolled into Iraq. Hell, I'm ok with US subsidized internet lines.
This will be the primary source of information to the "Iraqi Street"
These folks have been under the veil of Saddam forever. The light needs to be flipped on.
