Seriesly, you have shown good taste but those pictures are of Gatlinburg Tennessee...about 2 hours from my stompin grounds here in North GA. If you look close, you can see the town of Gatlinburg in the valley. It's a tourist trap in this area that we go to about 4 times a year.

Clingmans Dome which is in The Great Smokies is the second largest point east of the Mississippi River. Mt. Mitchell which is further northeast in the Blue Ridge Mtns. in NC is the highest point on the East Coast.

I've been to The Smokies, and also to Mt. Mitchell, and saw the devastation caused by acid rain upon the trees at the summit.

There is a restaurant there with a grand view, and I had mountain trout to eat - - - love those mountains, many times on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the years I lived in North Carolina.....
