From "Millionaire" to Playboy
MSN Entertainment News ^ | April 29, 2003 | Associated Press

Posted on 04/29/2003 2:19:15 PM PDT by Ebenezer

The first time Playboy magazine came calling, Sarah Kozer from "Joe Millionaire" said no. The second time, she said no again.

But the third time — after receiving unanimous approval from her family and friends — she changed her mind. Now, the reality show runner-up is on the cover of the magazine's June issue.

Kozer said she only agreed to pose for Playboy if the photos entailed no full-frontal nudity. "I was a women's studies major," she said Monday night at a party celebrating her appearance.

This isn't the first time the 29-year-old has modeled; as the Fox romance series was airing, it was revealed that she'd appeared in bondage and fetish films to help pay the bills during law school.

"Joe Millionaire" star Evan Marriott chose Zora Andrich over Kozer, but the two since have split up. The women were among 20 who competed for Marriott's affections under the belief that he was a millionaire, when he was actually a construction worker who made $19,000 a year.

Since the show's February finale, Kozer has been finishing a novel and a cookbook — and coping with the chaos of her newfound fame.

Sipping champagne and surrounded by pals and publicists at a trendy lounge Monday night, Kozer said of the whirlwind, "I don't like it, but I don't mind it."

"If this is the worst that life has to dish out for me," she said, "I can't really see any reason to complain."

"[I]t was revealed that [Sarah Kozer had] appeared in bondage and fetish films to help pay the bills during law school."

So, is she posing for Playboy to finish a Ph.D.?

I cannot fathom how a woman's friends and family can give her approval to pose "nekkid" (as they say down on the Louisiana bayous) for a magazine. ("Thanks for saying okay, Dad. I'll give you and Mom 10 copies.")

I heard an interview with her this morning. They didn't just approve, they told her she'd be crazy not to do it.

She also got $500k.

I saw an interview with her on Craig Kilborn, Dave, or Jimmy Kimmel (can't remember which) the other night, and to say she was in bondage and fetish films is a stretch at the very least. She even admitted that the other night

Well. Gosh.

If you are a "Womyn's Study Major", how can you justify doing degrading things like being on "Joe Millionaire" and appearing in "Playboy"?

I had not thought that the "Womyn" liked that sort of thing.....

I was a women's studies major," she said

What do you think Playboy readers are? If they don't study women ....

"$19k? Construction workers make way more th[a]n that!"

Joe/Evan replies from a fancy French restaurant: "Duhhh! I didn't join the union! Hey, where's that 'burger I ordered?"

A woman's studies major AND a lawyer. Two strikes against her.

You're absolutely correct. $19,000 a year for a construction worker is part-time work.

I think that "Womyn", like other mortals, think hard about $500K. I suspect most people would strip naked, paint themselves blue, stick a peacock feather in their rear, and march up and down the street in front of all their neighbors for $500K. And I also suspect that if some rich guy was handing out briefcases stuffed full of $500K to every neighbor who also participated you would have a whole neighborhood of naked, blue, peacock feather wearing marchers.

When she says no frontal nudity, she must have meant no pubic region. The rest is quite revealed.

I only know that because I am in women's studies also. :)
