WASHINGTON - After laying out a seven-figure advance for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (news - web sites)'s memoirs, her publishers are counting on seven-figure sales.
The account of her years in the White House will have a first printing of 1 million copies, her lawyer told The Associated Press. The 576-page book, entitled "Living History," is scheduled for release June 9. An audio version, read by Clinton, will be released the same day.
"Only a small handful of books have a 1-million-copy first printing, and I cannot think of another nonfiction book in recent history that has had that large a first printing," Robert Barnett, Clinton's lawyer, said Sunday.
The first lady-turned senator was paid an $8 million advance by Simon & Schuster. Foreign rights have already been sold in 16 countries, from South America to Europe to Asia.
The list price for the book, according to online seller amazon.com, is $28.
The book, which took two years to write, will be billed as a "complete and candid" accounting of her years in the White House, from the health care debate to impeachment to the launching of her own political campaign in 2000.

Doesn't Brill's book about 9/11 confirm that that story about Chelsea is bogus?
To: MotleyGirl70
Ugh! It's too close to lunch to see that.

Am I going to be arrested for violating Hillary's constitututional rights when I fail to buy her fantasy?

Is Hillary Lying?
The recent dustup over author-publisher-defender of the indefensible Steven Brill and his shocking claim that Sen. Hillary Clinton made up records about how she helped 9/11 families is very interesting.
The controversy involves three liberal Democrat sycophants: Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer and Steven Brill.

Excerpt: "It was another ugly hot day in Washington, or ni**er town as I prefer to call it, which meant another day dealing with all the fu**ing Jew Bast*rds in this town."
"As America's Queen, I arose late while my servants prepared my royal bath. Normally Vince would sneak upstairs for a quickie when what's his name wasn't around. But unfortunately, Bill had killed Vince off a few days ago because he knew too much about the payoffs, the bribes, the rapes, the murders............................."
"At least there would be some fun today since I was going to fire some White House staff. I enjoyed seeing the agony on their faces as I laughed hysterically............"

I tell you though, if the New York Times Book Review has a positive review. we won't have any choice but shell out $25 (plus sales tax where applicable) and buy this fascinating account.

From
NewsMax:
(Brill) also cast doubt on the authenticity of an account offered by Chelsea Clinton, who told reporters after the attacks that she was so close to the Twin Towers collapse that she feared for her life. "There are people on Schumer's staff who say that Chelsea kept moving south [toward Ground Zero] the more the press kept reporting that [Schumer's daughter Jessica] really was at Stuyvesant High School," just five blocks away from Ground Zero, he said.

The book will fall flat on its face. The editors are fuming behind the scenes. Bet they are talking about litigation with their lawyers as we type.

I disagree. Mass purchases of the book by useful idiots can make it a best seller on paper. Unions have been known to do this. I don't think libraries numbers are tracked in sales but Hill's minions can arrange it where they would count. I think more people who don't like her will read it than Hill lovers, just to see what she's shoveling.

Sounds like Al Gore's book, part two. Most sales will be in Hollywood and DC.
There will be a couple of warehouses in Arkansas stocked floor to ceiling with Hillary's book. There is no way this book is going down as a loser even if they have to buy them and give them away to homeless people under bridges and in subways. Even if they have to shove them all in an incenerator or use them as fuel for their Thanksgiving Day turkey roast this book will show up on the best seller list. Thats the way things are done in the clinton house. They have to be first.
