WASHINGTON - After laying out a seven-figure advance for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (news - web sites)'s memoirs, her publishers are counting on seven-figure sales.
The account of her years in the White House will have a first printing of 1 million copies, her lawyer told The Associated Press. The 576-page book, entitled "Living History," is scheduled for release June 9. An audio version, read by Clinton, will be released the same day.
"Only a small handful of books have a 1-million-copy first printing, and I cannot think of another nonfiction book in recent history that has had that large a first printing," Robert Barnett, Clinton's lawyer, said Sunday.
The first lady-turned senator was paid an $8 million advance by Simon & Schuster. Foreign rights have already been sold in 16 countries, from South America to Europe to Asia.
The list price for the book, according to online seller amazon.com, is $28.
The book, which took two years to write, will be billed as a "complete and candid" accounting of her years in the White House, from the health care debate to impeachment to the launching of her own political campaign in 2000.

Does the title mean that Hillary admits that she is history?

How thick is the book, I need a shim for the sofa, and something to line the birdcage with.

What a waste of a good tree.

I don't understand. Last week it was "She has written a single word yet," and this week they announce a June release. Which story was the lie? Why on earth would anyone spned thirty bucks for a book without a word of truth in it?
Those that but the book (some on this list) so as to disprove lies will also be disappointed. No issue will be covered with sufficient specifity to allow the lie to be proven. There will be nothing that could remotely reflect negatively on either Willie or Hillie, nor anything that could be used against her in the future.
These people have spent 20 years searching out and destroying any trace of a record that would prove their criminality. You don't think she is going to change that or prove something like Whitewater, Jim McDonald's murder, Foster's murder, Swiss bank accounts, or Fonda-like anti-Americanism while at Yale?

"Most sales will be in Hollywood and DC." Good point. When are the socialist terrorist sympathizing liberals going to understand that there is more to the U.S. than Hollywood and D.C.
People interested in D.C. would borrow the book from a library. Liberals in Hollywood are too dumb to have heard of libraries.

Is it me, or is this strange that one's lawyer would be the spokesman for Mrs. Clinton? I find this quite odd. Does anyone know, is this typical to have your lawyer speaking to the press about your just-released book?

"Living History""....real title
"Living His Story Has Paid Off Big !!...I'm A Senator Thanks To The Democratic Party Payoff"
To: The Great Satan
I wonder if she'll repeat Chelsea's version of 9/11, where she was jogging and drinking coffee, all the while heading toward the WTC.
To: Northern Yankee
I understood she had trouble finding a ghost writer for her last book, after the way she had treated the previous ones.
To: mountaineer
Starbucks should do a commercial with a sweatsuit-clad Chelsea sipping one of their brews while watching the WTC fall down. "Starbucks -- the choice of left-wing liars!"
