I was shocked to read about the allegations, ostensibly based upon documents discovered in Iraq, that George Galloway was somehow compensated financially by the Iraqi government for championing its cause. I was shocked because, if these allegations prove to be true, then the integrity and credibility of a man for whom I have great respect would be dramatically undermined.

I know that he helped set up the Mariam Appeal, a humanitarian organisation established in 1998 initially to raise funds on behalf of an Iraqi girl who suffered from leukaemia and who, because of economic sanctions, was unable to receive adequate medical care. Excuse me? Hey Ritter, the world knows now, the sanctions were deferred by Saddam to build palaces & provide other benefits to his preferred people. Why no sympathy for the poor girl in light of Saddam having $1 billion in US $$$ or more and kept from this girl? or all the money coming in through the back door from Syria for illegal oil and, yet, no money for this poor girl? Why continue the pure hatred filled diatribe against the US?

Amazing! In my reply no. 7 above, when I was speculating about others (besides Galloway) being discovered to have taken Saddam's money, I actually had Ritter in mind, but didn't want to make the accusation.

Don't forget the One Billion Dollars in cash the troops have recovered. There has to be more than that nearby or in Swiss Bank Accounts...

The UN, France, Russia, China, and Germany are all milling about smartly each knowing that the other has reeled it out and stomped all over it. Everybodys' dirty laundry is blowing around in the streets of Baghdad and the Coalition of The Willing is picking it all up!
EXCELLENT

that was what I meant - they (the liars and scumbags) can no longer make such assertions when there's tons of cash & well adorned palaces found everywhere & it's clear the reason the Iraqi people were so denied for so long was not due to lack of resources or availability of such but a lack of compassion on the part of Saddam and his minion, including Ritter, himself, and all the others, ala Galloway and the libs here in the States, who propped up that evil regime for so long. the blood is on their hands and appears to have left a long, lasting stain.

Let's make it a tri-fecta. Dig out Baghdad Bob, wherever he is. Then Bob can vouch for Scott while Scott vouches for George. Then we'll know that they're ALL telling the truth. Right? Right? Let's see the hands (and bank accounts) of everyone who agrees with that.
The subject of George Galloway reminds me of an old saying in Maryland politics, which I think was borrowed from New Jersey. "An honest politician is one who, once he's bought, stays bought." By that standard, there's a whole lot of honesty in the posted article.

Now one wonders how to turn Ritter into the IRS. Those Iraqi dollars are not exactly declared income.
Doesn't the IRS give a 15% finders fee to snitches? Me, Me! I want to squell!

I was shocked because, if these allegations prove to be true, then the integrity and credibility of a man for whom I have great respect would be dramatically undermined. I am sure that Galloway is crushed that a guy who was apprehended twice by police while attempting to meet minors for statutory rape sessions no longer respects him.

(Just because I don't think like you doesn't mean I don't think for myself)
Whoever posted that Ritter was going to be on C-SPAN at a certain time thereby causing others here to be subjected to seeing and hearing members of the National Gay and Lesbian Jounalists Assoc. flap their gums for more than a minute should be banned from this forum.

Could that be taken out of context?
I was shocked to read about the allegations, ostensibly based upon documents discovered in Iraq, that George Galloway was somehow compensated financially by the Iraqi government for championing its cause.....for so much money, I mean they only paid me a fraction of that for prostituting myself, I didn't realize MP's were worth more than ex UN Inspector perverts...
