People for the American way responds (shock - they hate Scott Lively and everything he stands for):

Well, well, well.

I've no experience with Scott Lively, but Kevin Abrams is an arrogant kook as seen from some of his USENET rantings just prior to the publication of the book.

Is Lively familiar with Lothar Machtan's work?

Most of the sites that are linked to PfAW are Christian.. are they saying that they want to limit the right to exercise religious freedom as protected under the first amendment?

I'm tired of people waxing on the virtues of playing with poop-holes.
Ugh. I want a gay-meme free news source.

Hey, I worked with Scott in politic years ago and he is a trooper....with a great sense of humor. Lots of credentials in my book. He will acquit himself well as a conservative in any debate or confrontation. Fearless is what comes to mind.

I don't know who this Lively guy is, but apparently he's just trying to get people stirred up and buy his conspiracy theory book.
The nazi's were vehemently anti-gay. Between 1933 and 1945 100,000 men were arrested for homosexuality under Paragraph 175, the sodomy provision of the German penal code dating back to 1871. Some were imprisoned, others were sent to concentration camps.

I've met Scott on several occasions. He is a very calm, sane, rational person.

The book is a piece of trash; I don't like homosexuals any more than the next man, but to put all the blame for Nazism on them is as ridiculous as the Nazis putting all the blame for Germany's problems on the Jews. It gets pretty well debunked in the "Annotated Pink Swastika" available on the net.

There's an old saying that every debate degrades untill the looser, running out of actual argument, eludes to Nazi!.
